Greetings friends! Today we went out of the comfort zone, I did my best attempt to draw a dragon, it's something I don't usually practice, but I think the result was good.
For this week I had a portrait in mind, but I feel I had to do something different and give my best, because this is a contest hehe.
 I made the sketch on paper before transferring it to the digital version, when I saw the sketch I was encouraged to complete it for the contest. 
Drawing Dragons is not my forte, but I really wanted to try something new for this week, without more to say let's start! </div>

</center><div class="text-justify"> Saludos amigos! Hoy salimos de la zona de confort, Hice mi mejor intento de dibujar un dragón, es algo que no suelo practicar, pero creo que el resultado fue bueno.
Para esta semana tenía pensado un retrato, pero siento que debía hacer algo diferente y dar lo mejor, pues esto es un concurso jeje.
 El boceto lo realicé en papel antes de pasarlo a la versión digital, al ver el boceto me animé a completarlo para el concurso. 
Dibujar Dragones no es mi fuerte, pero realmente quería intentar algo nuevo para esta semana, sin más que decir empecemos! </div>

I made a sketch of the character with HB and 3B pencil, before transferring this same photo to the drawing program, I will use it as a bottom layer from where I will draw the lineart.

Here I had two options to follow the drawing with a thick lineart or to make a thin and subtle lineart, both ways I liked very much, but in the end I decided to use a thin lineart.

Fortunately, the clip studio program allows you to add writing on the images, unlike the sai tool where you had to draw letter by letter.

To apply the base color, take the colors of the image as a reference and lower their saturation a little until a pleasant tone is achieved. 
>Para aplicar el color base, tome como referencia los colores de la imagen y les baje un poco la saturación hasta conseguir un tono agradable.

Once all the base color is ready, we apply the shadows, I try to make medium shadows and then give details with stronger shadows, the process is repeated in all layers of color.

In the reference card the dragon exhales fire, in my drawing I wanted to represent it in the lower part, always bearing in mind that this would be a source of light at the moment of applying certain shadows and brightness.

At this stage I had to look at the drawing several times and think where I could add or remove something.

I like how you hid most parts of the Dragon. It captures the attention of the viewer by making them imagine or wonder how it looks behind the mountain/rock. 😊
