I like using the internal market. I just never figured out the motive for buying HIVE. The only time I buy HBD is during spikes or when the gap between HBD and HIVE is large.

By "convert" I assume you you mean the conversion request process described in [this post](https://steemit.com/sbd/@timcliff/how-to-convert-sbd-into-steem-using-steemconnect) about SteemConnect (which was replaced by HiveSigner.com). I see that PeakD offers a "Convert to HIVE" option.

So, the convert process destroys the HBD. The HIVE received must be newly minted HIVE. Does it come from the Rewards Pool or from another process?

I assume that the price of the conversion is the feed price of HIVE and not  the price of HIVE reported on the exchanges.

BTW: people use the term "Burn HIVE" to mean transferring to @null. When one transfers to @null, the HIVE is destroyed and pulled from market capitalization ... or does it come back in another form?

Thanks again,  the next time I have a full HBD, I will try the conversion through HiveSigner. I love the internal market, but if the only people who buy through the market are the professional traders, then casual users should use the 100% power up option.
