I can't believe I have been on Steemit for a year! This has definitely been one of the most exciting years of my life! There have been so many ups and downs. 

I stumbled upon Steemit after seeing it was up 30% one day back in March 2017. Back then the price of Steem was around $.10. We have seen Steem prices over $7 over the past year and as of today we are less than $2. This is not investment advice, but I think Steem is a steal at these prices. 

Back to the Steemiversary! 

I am by no means a great blogger, but my skills and dedication has improved to a level I did not ever think possible last year. 

## Here were some of my personal highlights over the past year:
- Eating the second hottest peppers in the world, the Trinidad Moruga Scorpion, thanks to @papa-pepper. The 14 hours after eating it were the wildest 14 hours of my life for sure. - Creating the 2017 Steem Silver Round. I did not know whether this would be successful or not, but through #steemsilvergold I realized there were so many stackers here on this platform. We sold all 1500 rounds before the coin was even available on the market! The 2018 Steem Silver Round will be coming soon! :D Look for an update early next week on this! 

- Playing Fantasy Football with 11 other Steemians and running the league as a commissioner! I wish I finished higher, but I had a blast managing the league!

- Talking with @decentralizd about SmartCash back when it was trading at a whole lot less than it is now. I picked some up and thank everyone who assisted me in setting up my first Masternode! 

- Learning about Menē from @Goldmatters plus participating in nearly every one of his challenges. I ended up winning a couple of them! I later purchased pure gold dice from Menē from earnings on Steemit. You can watch the entire video [right here](https://steemit.com/dtube/@sevinwilson/671ixvsc).

- Participating in my first fireside chat with @jonny-clearwater as part of the Hots or Shots series! This was one of my favorite days of the past year. - I documented the disaster of my passport getting left in Tallahassee and @morganannwood almost completely breaking down. Luckily my dad came to the rescue, but it was wild nevertheless.
