Steemit the failed experiment.

Steemit is a very interesting social experiment, give real value to the vote encourages content generation, where the community is always ready to work and even better if it's for money. It sells very well as a fair and decentralized social network, however falls in has features that make it profoundly unfair.

VIRTUES OF STEEMIT

Steemit is a pioneer in being a social network with monetary incentives. It's a real social network alternative against other networks unfairly profit from foreign content.

PROBLEMS IN STEEMIT

The main problem is that it follows a strict capitalist model of accumulation. Power gaps are huge and will continue to larger as time passes. The visibility of content, steemit is not a social network, its blog with weight of popularity, where big power gap makes the visibility of the content is distributed unfairly and arbitrarily taste of the holders of power.

Overproduction of steem produces a constant devaluation is evident is their history chart, the value of steem decreases and therefore are only those who accumulate much steem, and has the power to accumulate are those who will benefit. The common community can only watch as their steempower is increasingly insignificant for growing and whale fat. Clearly its capitalist accumulation model.

CONCLUSSIONS

Steemit is a platform that love at first sight, but it generates great disappointment with the passage of time, the distribution of wealth, despite the offer, does not give the value of content but by the popularity of the taste of power. Long term Steemit fail if it does not change its structure. competition appears now, and if this provides better incentives for content generators, which are the strength of the current platform, Steemit inevitably lose all publishers.

RECOMMENDATIONS

Currently the distribution of power is as the graph shows, this distribution will not improve with time.

To encourage content generators, this curve must change, and the only way is to do it programmatically, the steempower should not be linear with respect to the amount of invested steem, but should be higher in the segment with more publishers, I view it as a bell curve.

This type of transformation steeem / steempower long term would be a fair way for publishers. The accumulation of wealth would be counterproductive, and better distribute wealth. This model is probably utopian as it directly affect creators, not for nothing are whales.

As for content visibility should prevail the strength of the social network where one visualizes the content first hand is the content produced by users who follow. This would also improve the gap of language, because language always have content people we follow.

Finally I leave it exposed for comment and criticize, hoping to become heard by the creators of the platform and to be considered, avoiding of course gaps that I am a minion and this text is an google traslation from spanish, hope you undestand. LOL!

regards

Upvote for SEYACAT the cat
