Many have asked me through our official Facebook why we don't have a mining system anymore for PIVX. The basic use of a POS system with staking and masternodes is designed to be a bit more environmentally friendly, lets face it most of these mining farms and miners are a bit of an energy killer which in turn does a lot of needless destruction to nature. PIVX did at one time fire up a little run of mining, this was just to jump start the network but the POS system in place now is very energy efficient.

Now I get there are a lot of people though who don't have it as easy to just go out and purchase PIVX, some of us have bills...day to day things that financially just leap out at us at most inconvenient times. Sadly, I have come across a lot of people who have felt left out because there is no mining to directly do to earn them some PIVX.

**Here comes CRYPTOPOOL.IO to the rescue.** They have just put together a very nice multipool for miners to earn PIVX. You simply put your PIVX wallet address as your username in your miner, any password you wish and use the following addresses for your stratum:

Coin Algorithm	Stratum Config
sha256:	stratum+tcp://pivx.cryptopool.io:3333
scrypt:   	stratum+tcp://pivx.cryptopool.io:4444
x11:         	stratum+tcp://pivx.cryptopool.io:5555

I have to tell you I have been on this already for most of the day with my miners and really like the websites look and feel. This multipool seems to be earning me a decent little chunk of extra PIVX so I highly recommend it to those who have a need to mine to earn their PIVX. You can view your real time stats by copy and pasting your wallet address in the MINER SEARCH option at the top of their site. This will take you to your miners earnings page which will show you as you go what your miners are doing. I have to thank CRYPTOPOOL.IO for this awesome feature for those of us wanting to earn some PIVX when its difficult for us to just buy it off the exchanges.

You can do both, basically you point your asic or gpu miners to those addresses listed above on the algorithm you have and put in your PIVX address and use whatever password you desire and it will start mining away. I have been running on this all day and seems very smooth. Its a lot like Inferno Pool if you ever seen them before.

This isn't really app specific, this pool is for multi type miners. Anything from your average ASIC SHA256 or ASIC SCRYPT miner or you can get NICEHASH and point your miners to the addresses above. What kind of system do you plan to mine with? Your PC? If your planning to use your PC I would look up NICEHASH, download their software but do a quick google on the setup, reason being I only use prebuilt asic miners and not sure how to set up a PC exactly for this yet.

Good post. Really appreciate you bring this to our attention. No matter how populair a coin is. People should always do a proper background check. It surprises me how many coins are out there that don't have their basics right.
