আগ্রাসন

গতকাল রাতে যখন আমি বাসার উদ্দেশ্যে বাসে উঠলাম, তখন হঠাৎ করেই একজন লোক বাসে দৌড়ে উঠে পরল। লোকটি উঠেই সরাসরি অকাট্য ভাষা ব্যবহার করতে শুরু করে। ড্রাইভার এবং হেলপারকে ভিশন গালিগালাজ করতে শুরু করে। আমি প্রথমে ভেবেছিলাম অকারণেই হয়তো লোকটি তাদের সাথে খারাপ ব্যবহার করছে, কিন্তু আসলে দৃশ্য বিপরীত ছিল। লোকটির হাতে একটি ভাঙা বাঁশ ছিল। আমি সেটা দেখে মনে করেছিলাম লোকটি চালককে আক্রমণ করার চেষ্টা করতে পারে। লোকটি যখন গালিগালাজ করছিল তার পিছনে লাঠিটি ছিল। বাসের মধ্যে আমরা যারা ছিলাম তারা আসল ঘটনা বুঝতে পারছিলাম না। অনেকেই তাদের এমন আক্রমণাত্মক ব্যবহার দেখে ভয় পাচ্ছিল।

সেই মুহূর্তে আমি আমার প্রিয় মানুষটির সাথে বার্তা আদান-প্রদান করছিলাম এবং তাকে জানানোর চেষ্টা করছিলাম এখানে কি ঘটছে। আমি খেয়াল করলাম আমার পাশে থাকা মহিলাটি সতর্ক হয়ে বাস থেকে নামার চেষ্টা করছে। আমি চারপাশে আবারো তাকিয়ে লক্ষ্য করলাম পরিবেশ আরো গরম হতে শুরু করেছে। সবাই ড্রাইভার এবং সেই লোকটিকে সতর্কবার্তা দেওয়ার চেষ্টা করছিলো। তারপর ঘটনাটি দেখতে কেমন ছিল। সে লাফ দিয়ে নিচে নেমে গেল এবং নিজের দলকে নিয়ে দ্রুত হাঁটতে শুরু করে।  তাদের দলের প্রত্যেকটা লোকের সাথেই কিছু না কিছু ছিল যেটা মানুষকে ভয় দেখানোর জন্য যথেষ্ট। তাদের সবার হাতে লোকাল কিছু হাতিয়ার ছিল, তাদের অনেককেই দেখে মনে হচ্ছিল নেশাগ্রস্ত। আমি ঘটনার প্রথম সাক্ষী হয়ে নিজেকে ভাগ্যবান মনে করেছিলাম। একজন ভদ্র চেহারার লোক আমাদের ড্রাইভার এর সাথে এসে কথা বলছিল এবং তাকে বলছিল গাড়ি ভাঙচুর করার আগেই যাতে নিরাপদ স্থানে নেয়। কারণ সামনে অনেক বিশৃঙ্খলা রয়েছে রাস্তায়।

 যাত্রীরা যারা বাসে রয়েছিল তারা বাসে কি ঘটছে এবং সামনে কি ঘটতে চলেছে তা ভেবে বেশ উদ্বিগ্ন হতে শুরু করছিলো। যতক্ষণ যাত্রীরা বাস থেকে নেমে যায় এবং হেলপার আমাদের নামিয়ে দেয় ততক্ষন বাসের মধ্যে আলোচনায় বাস ভরা ছিল। আমি ভয়ের কারণে যতদ্রুত সম্ভব বাস থেকে নেমে যাই। পরে খবর পেয়ে ছিলাম যে একজন যাত্রী মারা গেছে এবং এই সপ্তাহে এটি দ্বিতীয় ঘটনা ছিল।‌ এই ভাঙচুর এবং হত্যাকাণ্ড ইচ্ছাকৃত ছিল। জানা গিয়েছিল এটা আগ্রাসনের কারণে হয়েছে। আমি আমার বাসার আগেই নেমে গিয়েছিলাম যার কারণে আমাকে অনেক দূর হেটে যেতে হয়েছিল।

রাস্তায় হাটার সময় আমি অনেক কিছু উপলব্ধি করেছি, পর্যবেক্ষণ করেছি এবং সেইসব উপক্ষো করে দ্রুত হাঁটার চেষ্টা করেছি। আমি বেশি আবেগ প্রবণ একজন মানুষ। তাই আমি নিজেকে নিয়ে বেশি চিন্তা করি। হাটার সময় আমি বুঝতে পেরেছিলাম যদি তাদের সতর্ক মেনে গাড়ি থেকে না নামতাম তাহলে হয়তো আঘাত পাওয়ার সম্ভাবনা ছিল। সেখানে অনেকেই গুরুতরভাবে আহত হয়েছিল। আমাদের বাসের সামনে দুটি বাস খুব খারাপভাবে ভাঙচুর করা হয়েছিল। একটি বাসে আগুন দেওয়া হয়েছিল। আমি লোকদের মারতে দেখেছি, বাসে আগুন জ্বালাতে দেখেছি। আমি ভয়ে পায়ে হেঁটে চলেছিলাম যখন অনেকেই সেই মুহূর্তগুলোকে মোবাইলে আবদ্ধ করায় ব্যস্ত ছিল। কিছুক্ষণ পরেই দেখলাম একটি ফায়ার সার্ভিসের গাড়ি আমাকে অতিক্রম করল। রিক্সা পাওয়া পর্যন্ত আমি হেটে যাচ্ছিলাম। অতঃপর আমি একটি রিক্সা খুঁজে পেলাম যেটা আমাকে বাড়ি নিয়ে গেল।

 কিন্তু বর্তমান পরিস্থিতি তার থেকেও অনেক ভয়াবহ। যেখানে শিক্ষার্থীদের উপর আক্রমণ চলছে। প্রশাসন চোখ বন্ধ করে আছে। আর পুলিশ সেখানে আসার প্রয়োজন মনে করছে না। কি ঘটছে কেন ঘটছে তা নিয়ে মনে হচ্ছে কারোরই মাথাব্যথা নেই। শিক্ষার্থীরা গুরুতর আহত হয়ে হাসপাতালে যাচ্ছে আর সাংবাদিকরা সেটাই ক্যামেরায় বন্দী করায় ব্যস্ত রয়েছে।
