Introduction: A big hello to all the Stemians! (introduction post)

Saying a big hello to everyone out there!

My name is Tobias 👋.
28 years young and residing in the most United of kingdoms, the UK.

I used to model a little and was very heavily into working out. My career goal was to be a leading name in physique competitions and be that guy on the front of magazines. That was all until something that changed my life forever came hurtling into my very being. I got sick and was hospitalised in November 2016 for a month.. the diagnosis was an acute attack on chronic pancreatitis. A lot of people will be reading this and thinking 💭 "well what is that!?" which is exactly what I thought. I had heard of the pancreas but no more than the knowledge it existed. ...this changed everything. I had an extremely painful chronic illness thay was only to get worse and never better. It has affected my weight which was a loss of four stone and my body I had worked so hard for in the gym and the realisation my goal was up. However this wasn't all bad as I believe I have become a better person as I was very vain and a tad arrogant before ;-). Digestion issues, severe pain, undernourished, onset diabetes and other fun stuff are all part and parcel of the illness. The constant pain means I have to stay medicated with pharmaceutical pain killers and take lots of other medications. I am however a huge advocate for the legalisation of marijuana. There are a lot of misconception and fake facts around the wonderful plant and not enough of the good facts get put out there. It is my number one medication over all the pain killers and it has improved my life dramatically. Look out for my future post on medicinal marijuana!

..so you are probably thinking to yourself "this guy has a steemit account to talk about weed and chronic illnesses?" Hmm. Yes there will be rants about being ill and there will be some Mary Jane posts but my main reason for being here is my hobby/work. cryptocurrency!

I have been a cryptocurrency investor for over year now. Originating with my interest and love for Bitcoin but then branching out to all the cryptocurrencys out there and some rarer altcoins. Since I was diagnosed it is quite hard to get out a lot so I chose to fill that void by working my ass off from home. So, steemit? Well being in said crypto community I started to hear about steem quite a bit and it immediately had my attention. Registered at the start of July and here I am now introducing my self to the steemit world!

So what you will find from me on steemit is a blog, fun posts, personal outlet and everything cryptocurrency!

... the other character you are likely to see a lot of is Bane my gremlin looking puppy. He is half Yorkie and half chihuahua which makes him a Chorkie, shout out to all the dog lovers out there! He may look cute but he is the naughtiest dog I have seen, dont let him fool you, he is a terror! 😁

That's very true. I get out and about when I can. Makes me appreciate nature more now as it's a rarity. 

I have a great housemate who helps me out in so many ways. she will no doubt pop up here from time to time.
