## Rising Star game progress

Yesterday, I earned some **STARPRO** tokens by doing some of the promotional missions. The intention was to do this **Festival mission** in the **United Kingdom**. I'm going to try to do one in every location because why wouldn't I? I play as @scootermcd, if I haven't mentioned before.

As usual, I had to login about 800 times today. There's a really annoying thing about the **Rising Star** game that I keep hoping they'll do away with. If there is a change in your IP address, it logs you out for *"safety"* or something like that. No other game I play does that and it does not seem necessary at all. I use a VPN and it reconnects every time my computer wakes up from sleep. I step away from it a bunch of times all day long, so it goes to sleep and wakes up a lot. I can't be the only one who gets annoyed by that. 

Okay, rant over. I really do like the game overall. It clearly states on their site that they're still in the early stages of the game and not to expect it to be perfect. Another thing I think they could fix is having to withdraw Starbits and stuff in quantities of 1000. Why not just let us enter the quantity instead? Seems like a strange way to do it.

My strategy right now is just to keep playing shows and doing some lessons to balance out the ego, inching my way up to Level 65. I can't really progress to any new missions until I hit that level, so it's a bit of a waiting game. Every once in a while, I do some of the instrument missions, too. I'm trying to build one of those sweet Flying V shaped guitars, but I haven't gotten that particular guitar body yet. I've got a bunch of other parts just kind of stockpiled, so I'll be able to make the coolest version of that guitar possible when I finally do get the body for it.

## Guitar stuff

I'm building a guitar in real life, too! I only have the body right now. Frankly, I've had the body for a couple of years at this point, so I'm not sure I can even say that I'm *building* a guitar so much as that I *plan* to build one someday.

The style I have in mind is sort of a cross between a **Jazzmaster** and a **Telecaster**, or what is unofficially referred to as a **Jazzcaster**. I should've gotten the parts before now. I can only imagine how much more expensive they are now with the price of wood (and everything else) going through the roof. At least I have the biggest part of the guitar. I don't even remember when I bought this, but it was at least five years ago, I want to say. It kind of fell through the cracks as I focused on other things in life and suffered a few dumb financial setbacks. 

My brother made the same kind of guitar and actually finished his year ago. This is the one he made, so you can kind of see what they look like when they're finished.

The neck I am planning on putting on it will look just like his. I'm planning on doing something a little different with the pickups as I already have two guitar with two humbuckers in them. I want something a little different this time. I haven't decided for sure what I'm going to put in it. The bridge pickup will be like a standard Telecaster type.

## Splinterlands progress

I made it to the Silver League playing as @golden-fang. That's the account that I'm playing with only delegated cards and the rewards cards that are earned by that account.

Anyway, it was a nice Sunday for me. I made some macaroni and cheese and some burritos. I played a lot of games. I listened to a lot of music. I watched a fair amount of YouTube. I know I should be watching 3Speak. Shame on me!

I plan to do some work tomorrow. I'll be like everyone else and going back to work after the weekend. Well, not *everyone* else. I'll probably stay up pretty late tonight, though. My schedule is completely changing and I don't mind. The most recent job I had started at 6 am, so I was on a schedule of waking up very early. I'd also obviously go to bed very early, too. Usually some time between 9 and 10 and then I'd want up some time between 4 and 5. Now I can sleep in until at least 7 most days and that means I can stay up a little later. That's nice. I don't like going to bed super early. It makes me feel old. I *am* a little bit old, but only a little bit.

Tonight is the last night my wife has to work third shift at her job, so that'll be nice. For both of us. We're planning to hopefully go mini golfing tomorrow and get some burgers. Weather permitting on the mini golfing. 

I can take selfies with my new computer! The FaceTime camera is HD and looks pretty decent, even in low light like tonight. And, hey, the guitars don't look left-handed in these like the selfies I take with my phone.
