<br> This is my first time ever posting in the LeoFinance community and I will try to continue to do so moving forward. Today I want to be sharing a web3 game  called Cross The Ages that I invested in quite early before they even had gameplay. I spent around $500 of Polygon on this during the presale for the Primus pack. In this post, I will go over why I bought the pack and what I think of the game and it's future.

<br> ***What Got Me To Purchase A Primus Pack***

<br> Secondly, I saw that they had a pretty decent following on socials with like over 100k on Instagram at the time and their discord was pretty active too with real people. This is also some plus signs to look at when investing in a web3 game project.

<br> In addition to that, they planned to make a strategic card game where there was going to be scarcity as well as numbering. The cards would be like NFTS and you could be the first person to get the very first card minted for a certain card. Another awesome thing that got me hooked was that the game was also going to have non-NFT cards which would make it accessible to web2 gamers as well.

<br> Fourthly they have awesome lore for those that like stories. They also already had a  plan to have 13 books or so and this means that they already had plans to develop for the future.

<br> ***Where The Game Is Now + My Assets / plays in the game***


<br> At the moment, the game is now in general access. Everyone can play this game now for free! They even have a [zealy ](https://zealy.io/c/crosstheages/invite/1V9adXJnkOoqxOqPFIm-6)contest going on now where you can earn Prana which is their in game currency or chests which will have cards in them! The game is on IMX which is a layer 2 ETH chain and all transactions there have no gas fees. I was fortunate enough to be able to play in the Beta since I purchased a pack early so I had a head start in collecting cards from the game.


<br>I did get in early but I wish I got in even earlier! Take a look at the photo below that I've taken from Tokentrove. If I'm not wrong they gave these to those people that invested super early into the game. It's crazy that people are willing to spend 10k-20k dollars on these as they don't really provide any utility in the game! These if I'm not wrong are just for purely collecting. I found it mind-blowing that there's some crazy collectors for this game and of course with that in mind I had the idea to actually make some money off the game while also enjoying the game.

<br> Currently, my play now is to combine cards and sell them if they are grade A or grade S. I also play all the exclusive events to hope i get a grade S which can sell for over $500 and if you have a foil you can probably sell for over $5000. I'm also fortunate enough to have enough CTA tokens and a mint pass that's worth around 400-500 usdc which was airdropped to me for opening my Primus pack. Now currently, I'm getting airdrops every week for the next 23 weeks of 2 SR cards which seems to average around 5-10 bucks. This basically means by the end of airdrops I'll have another 230-460 usd worth of cards which is amazing! I'm still unsure what I will do with all these airdrops; I think I will most likely sell them all.

<br> **Conclusion** <br>

To be honest, I got into this game to make money but it's so hard to not get attached because the art and game is quite nice. I probably have around $1400 in assets now and I've already sold probably $400-500 worth of cards. I've pretty much made back my investment so I won't feel much if this game somehow goes down the drain. I still think there's a lot of potential for this game. They are innovating the gameplay a lot and it's always fresh. They don't allow bots and best of all they plan to have a world championship this year if I'm not wrong which will be amazing. I also think this game did a great job at closing the gap between web2 and web3.
