Hahahahahaha I did this when I was little my mom knew how to handle me on this. She payed less attention to this, she will finish up and lock the kitchen.
I didn't last long on this I had to change immediately, I guess puberty was disturbing me in my case.

Waking up early is something great as it makes one productive. Not waking up early can have an effect in one's life if they aren't careful and helping to wake up early. 

I love the habit you took up from grandma and how you chose to stop getting angry immediately. Also, the best of it is being able to forgive easily and let go. Interesting post 👍
