My decision to leave steemit - not based on emotions.

# <center>Spring is almost here, and I have a massive backlog.</center>

<br>

That ugly 1983 rd 80 mx is my latest arrival, and more my style, I restore bikes from start to finish on my own. I strip them, I paint them, I repair the engines, and the buck stops with me with regards to any mistakes. I keep most of them, some I sell to close friends or good repeat buyers at a discount, as they come back for more, every time.

Here is the last one of these I did, though a 1983 France only market bike with pedals and no gears, weird uh!.

# <center>I have a long list of motorbikes "to do" also.</center>

I have my Aprilia rs 250 to service and use this year. I have a Suzuki gt 125 twin from 1983 that I need to put back on the road, a Yamaha rd 350 ypvs 1985 that I have not finished. I have the Husaberg fe 400 to complete. this WSK classic racing bike to finish below.

# <center>I counted them today.</center>

And I have 47 motorbikes in various states of restoration, yes 47. I have a 4 bedroom bungalow half full of them, and no we do not live in it. I have a workshop with 8 in it, 2 garages and 2 barns both stacked full of bikes and parts too.

I also have a collection of mint - as new classics stored under a local bank with 24 hour security, these are not counted in the 47 total, the 47 are "to do" you see.

My decision to leave here is not out of rage, and in no way angry or directed at anyone on here. It is simply a case of I have far too much to do in that weird and wonderful real world outside. Anyone wanting to start life on here or upgrade to reputation 69.8 can contact me via my wallet, follow through with a payment of 0.5 btc and take this account on today!....

Here is the bike I am preparing for spring today, as I feel it time to ride a few like I stole em whilst I am still young enough to enjoy doing that.

# <center>I also grow a lot of food for the local community.</center>

<br>

Having found myself in a strange country by choice, I chose to buy a large amount of land. Rather than turn into a full time farmer, something this city boy knows nothing about. I let the local community use our land to grow food. For free. Having lived in the UK, and seen how people move there to abuse the benefits system and take, take, take. I decided because I can to give something back, to the locals, because I can. There is no value in takers, there is value in helping others help themselves, in my eyes anyway.

Doing this also takes a massive chunk of my time, as does cutting bloody grass, I get sick of the sight of it at times, and let the local farmers graze here for free. That though leaves me manure to clean up, though that is superb for the soil you see.

No rage quitter here, just a guy who is going to be incredibly busy, and has no time to write for 60 cents a post, it is simply not worth my time.
Most people care not about what I write about anyway, so I doubt I will be missed all the same. Any takers on this account?????

You have some amazing thoughts and knowledge as well as really talented hands, I've already told you how I feel about your decision and although I understand it perfectly, I will miss you and I don't think it's just me who'll do it, you're living the dream of many people and helping others to get it, I just want to wish you and your family the best and hope that sooner or later we all leave the big mess in which one way or another we have gotten ourselves.

Well I have enjoyed reading a lot of your post, not all of them mind you, but a lot. Spring is just around the corner, then it will be time to break out the riding mower, work on the patio, and ride a few of the bikes, and get your girls out and about on them also. Yeah, people can be stupid at times. Always wanting everyone to agree with everything they have to say or think, sorry, that's not life. A shame more people do not get it. A lot of people on here seem to want a ditto, or echo box, or a bunch of sycophant yes men, glad that was not you.

Give it a couple of months and come back @shepz1. Steemit is up big time the last few days so it would be a shame to just sell your account. If it goes up in value you can come back and get more for the posts. I for one along with a lot of others in here really like your posts .  You would be missed.

I tuned it, ported it, made the exhausts myself, it hits 100 mph with the gearing I fitted, so for an old banger, it screams like bloody hell. :-)

Taking the moral high ground....(Me? on high ground? wooohooo!)

This is not judgment matey, and there is nothing wrong with using bots as a financial instrument - _But_ (you see me sat over there? On that moral high ground?), using financial instruments is _actively supporting_ the big people on here.
I stopped using them last year, on principle. Not to making money, but I see the use of financial instruments (profit from the money _itself_, not from _product_), as a fundamental reason why we ar ein the shit we are today - not just steemit, but the whole system.

Imagine if you couldn't make money _off money_, but only product...?

If I could I'd buy a ton of steem then flag the bloke who'd even consider buying your account off the face of steem.....since I don't have avenue to buy steem  you will now have to add a warning that a certain said girl who has proven she can be pesky has threatened to haunt whoever buys this account!  You do know there will be rainy days ahead you can sneak in a post...and other winters ahead....what ever will we do without you?

I did a ts 2 years ago, it arrived like this, a 250 though.

Very, very nice @shepz1 !  If I get the chance I will post a picture of my bike.
Nowadays they are trying to get rid of all the 2 cycle engines so sad.  I grew up when Suzuki, Kawasaki and Yamaha’s were everywhere........everyone had a bike😊
