It seems that our wishes and desires were met and a new and very interesting proposal was created for Splinterlands, regarding the controversial use of bots to play ranked, which has caused a lot of headaches for “manual” players, like me , who venture into the race for a better position.


The proposal created by @theukm and idealized by @yabapmatt (correct me if I'm wrong, please) can be read in full following the link below and as its title already denounces, the proposal is simply a way of trying to stop bots to play in modern mode, staying only in wild mode.

Needless to say, I found this proposal super cool and as soon as I could, I already left my vote as positive (yes), so that this could be implemented. I believe the proposal is fair, when trying to balance those who already have their 100 or more bots, as well as players who just want to have fun and climb the rankings with an acceptable level of challenge.

Those who know me well know my opinion, I am from the old days, where bots, as well as scripts, cheaters or any other mechanism that grants a player an advantage over the other, must be fought with all the fervor possible, but, as everyone knows also, Splinterlands allows these bots.


Those who use it, use it, I'm not here to judge, but my experience as a "manual" player has been frustrating in recent weeks, because even raising the level of my cards, investing I don't know how many HBD over the months, it's been it's surreal to win a match and when I go to our friend's wallet who created a perfect composition, guess what, there's a bot token in there.

OK, ok, yesterday I created a thread in a moment of anger and frustration, I know I didn't act in the best possible way, but I was really upset to have to face such efficient machines. These three examples are few, compared to what happened tonight, practically all the profiles I played were bots, I just didn't want to leave the giant image.


Always trying to understand both sides, I can say that those who use bots have their reasons and even if some profiles have countless in their favor, what worries me most is how does Splinterlands imagine growing like this? Attract new players with a game that becomes frustrating? If someone who has been there for 2 years (like me) and has already invested a good amount is like this and who will start? How will a new player like the game and decide to invest in it, if the guy can barely beat a machine?

This is the point that I repeat so much, a game has to be fun, I don't think we should win them all, but losing to a worthy opponent is not bad, complicated is making a "lost streak" because of a machine, automatic running and creating perfect teams. Life is not fair, but do we really need to force this injustice?

We can also understand the other side, who uses bots with a large SPS contribution and many accounts, therefore, it would not be possible to play manually and these accounts probably had effort and dedication to get where they got. No one is banning their use, we just thought it would be nice to have a space where it's machine against machine and players against players.

Anyway, we will await the result of the proposal, I hope for its approval, but if it does not happen, the trick is to be patient and analyze how it will be from now on, because things have become more difficult and I really am not able to keep up.

Parece que nossos desejos e anseios foram atendidos e uma nova proposta bem interessante foi criada para o Splinterlands, em relação ao polêmico uso dos bots para jogar a ranqueada, o que tem causado bastante dor de cabeça para os jogadores “manuais”, assim como eu, que se aventuram na corrida por uma posição melhor.


A proposta criada por @theukm e idealizada por @yabapmatt (me corrijam se eu estiver errado, por favor) pode ser lida na íntegra seguindo o link abaixo e como o seu título já denuncia, a proposta é simplesmente uma forma de tentar barrar os bots de jogarem no modo moderno, ficando apenas no modo selvagem.

Nem preciso dizer que achei super legal essa proposta e assim que pude, já deixei meu voto como positivo (sim), para que isso seja implementado. Acredito que a proposta é justa, ao tentar equilibrar aqueles que já possuem seus 100 ou mais bots, assim como os jogadores que só querem se divertir e subir a ranqueada com um nível de desafio aceitável.

Quem me conhece sabe bem a minha opinião, eu sou das antigas, onde bots, assim como scripts, cheaters ou qualquer outro mecanismo que conceda vantagem de um jogador sobre o outro, deve ser combatido com todo o fervor possível, mas, como todos sabem também, o Splinterlands permite estes bots.


Quem usa, usa, não estou aqui para julgar, mas, a minha experiência como jogador “manual”, tem sido frustrante nas últimas semanas, pois mesmo subindo o nível das minhas cartas, investindo não sei quantos HBD ao longo de meses, tem sido surreal vencer uma partida e quando vou à carteira do nosso amigo que criou uma composição perfeita, adivinhem, tem um token de bot lá. 

***Na minha opinião, como disse, frustrante e lamentável ter chegado neste ponto.***

OK, ok, ontem criei uma thread em um momento de raiva e frustração, sei que não agi da melhor forma possível, mas estava realmente chateado de ter que enfrentar maquinas tão eficientes. Esses três exemplos são poucos, perto do que aconteceu nesta noite, praticamente todos os perfis que joguei, eram bots, só não quis deixar a imagem gigante.


Tentando entender sempre os dois lados, posso dizer que quem usa bots, tem os seus motivos e mesmo que alguns perfis tenham inúmeros ao seu favor, o que mais me preocupa é como o Splinterlands imagina crescer assim? Atrair novos jogadores com um jogo que se torna frustrante? Se quem já está há 2 anos (como eu) e já investiu um bom montante está assim e quem começará? Como um jogador novo irá gostar do jogo e decidir investir nele, se o cara mal consegue ganhar de uma máquina?

Este é o ponto que tanto repito, um jogo tem que ser divertido, não acho que devemos ganhar todas, mas perder para um oponente digno não é ruim, complicado é fazer uma “lost streak” por conta de uma máquina, automática rodando e criando equipes perfeitas. A vida não é justa, mas, precisamos forçar essa injustiça mesmo?

> Porém, por outro lado, também entendo que seria injusto para os maiores detentores de contas SPS e Splinterlands já que temos (jogadores com muitas contas e seria impossível jogar manualmente com todas as contas), então a proposta é muito bom, pelo menos em um primeiro momento, já que NÃO proíbe bots, mas também sai da liga moderna onde o jogador realmente tem que mostrar habilidade.

Também podemos entender o outro lado, de quem utiliza os bots com um grande aporte de SPS e muitas contas, sendo assim, não seria possível jogar manualmente e essas contas provavelmente tiveram esforço e dedicação para chegar aonde chegaram. Ninguém está proibindo o uso deles, apenas achamos que seria legal haver um espaço onde seria máquina contra máquina e jogadores contra jogadores.

Enfim, aguardaremos o resultado da proposta, eu torço pela sua aprovação, mas se não acontecer, o jeito é ter paciência e analisar como será daqui para frente, pois as coisas ficaram mais difíceis e eu realmente não estou conseguindo acompanhar.
