Even with the tireless routine of battles that we carry out daily in Splinterlands, one time or another we still manage to surprise ourselves with something, be it an existing card or mechanic, for example.

With me, it happened exactly with a letter, which I don't use much, but this week, according to some battle rules I went through, I ended up using it and I was very surprised with its efficiency.

Of course, luck often helps and in others, a good strategy set up for the team becomes fundamental so that each monster chosen in the battle has the maximum use and with that, brings us victory.

The unit in question is the ***KATRELBA GOBSON***, which I have at level 3:

It is a common card, from the Gladius edition and although its use was formerly limited only to battles between guilds, currently with so many new arrivals in Splinterlands, we can use it under certain conditions in ranked battles.

Possessing the dangerous ***BLOODLUST***, each kill makes it stronger, in addition, with its skill ***SNEAK*** its focus is always on the opponent's rear units, which can end up surprising since usually there at the end, there are units with little life.

To complete, the icing on the cake: having ***DOUBLE STRIKE***, it performs two attacks in the same turn. Knowing how to use it well, we can create a true monster with a very powerful offensive power.

In this example, I was able to use it thanks to the ***CONSCRIPT*** skill that ***Reward SB*** summoners have, which allows us to use an additional Gladius card. Possessing as negative points, its 6 mana cost and that they may be at a lower level, as we cannot buy cards to combine, so it all depends on what we take in the chests.

For the earth element, we have the gorilla ***LOBB LOWLAND***, which in addition to allowing the use of a gladiator card, still removes 1 point of speed from the opponents, which can be essential depending on the battle we are going to carry out.



In this way, we have one more option to use in ranked battles, as often the opponent does not expect that you will risk building a team with these new summoners and their powerful gladiator cards.

For this battle, we had the following rules and conditions:

* All monsters would have the ***OPPORTUNITY*** ability from the start of the game.

In addition, the maximum mana capacity at 29 points and the earth, life and dragon elements enabled. These conditions imposed for the battle practically already filtered well what we could choose to compose the teams.

Because I don't like / use the life and dragon elements a lot, so I already opted for the earth element right away and even though my summoner ***LOBB LOWLAND*** is at level 3, it didn't make much sense to choose ***OBSIDIAN (level 4)*** if magic units could not be used.

So I assembled the following team:

There weren't many possible options, so I tried to fit the team as best as possible, creating a team with two tanks that had skills that would help hold the game, which would be ***HEAL*** and ***DODGE***, although they would not be the main target.

***VENATOR KINJO*** would be the first target to be focused on because of his 2 life points, after him, the idea was that the focus would be on the last two monsters, which are the ranged ones. Therefore, ***KATRELBA GOBSON*** would be protected due to its 4 life points, in addition to being exactly in the middle of the team, which can offer additional protection.

## Round 1

When I mentioned the luck factor, I wasn't kidding, because what happened here was simply magical, at least for me, because my opponent must have had goosebumps. Even though ***ACID SHOOTER***'s attack is random, I never imagined that it would hit my opponent's penultimate unit.

Then, with her ability to attack twice and focus on the opposing team's last position, there were simply two kills for ***KATRELBA GOBSON***, with that, this first round ended with her receiving +2 on all her attributes.

Even if ***ACID SHOOTER***'s attack didn't hit where it hit, the mechanics of the ***BLOODLUST*** skill would already give a first bonus for killing the last monster and thus getting an attack at 3 points , the second kill would also occur.

## Round 2

In that round, despite having lost my first tank, my strategy was already working, as my main card would still be protected and I would be able to perform one more kill, since it was causing 8 points of damage. Therefore, my opponent's last unit would also be defeated.

## Round 3

Possessing the highest speed within the match, the beginning of each round already belonged to ***KATRELBA GOBSON***, who carried out another kill, thus, only my opponent's 2 tanks remained, which despite all his strength , still had a certain advantage over melee-type attacks.

## Round 4

Even being alone, her attribute elevation had already compromised any and all of my opponent's strategies. Dealing a total of 12 damage this round and receiving 4 points in total due to the return of the ***THORNS*** skill, my unit ***KATRELBA GOBSON*** would still have +1 added to all its stats , taking away any chance of winning the opponent.

## Round 5

Finally, the coup de grâce. Despite its protection against physical attacks (melee and ranged) due to the ***SHIELD*** skill, ***CHAOS KNIGHT*** was simply knocked down with the first attack. Dividing 7 points by 2, we would have an attack of 3.5, but as the damage is rounded up, she received 4 points of damage and thus the defeat for my opponent.

Not bad for my newest friend, full of desire to defeat some opponents. I imagine in a match that maybe lasted 1 or 2 more rounds, what would it be like to hold 16 damage from a single card? Insane to think about it!

An interesting experience using ***KATRELBA GOBSON***, because I confess that I didn't give her much morale when it came to team selection, but in the last battles, I've been trying to fit her in and it's been working very well.

Despite starting very weak with a high chance of being killed due to its low initial life, if things go well and with a good strategy, we can make it a true killing machine, as it attacks twice in the same turn and with such a high attack score, the damage it can do is enormous!

Mesmo com a incansável rotina de batalhas que realizamos diariamente no Splinterlands, uma vez ou outra ainda conseguimos nos surpreender com alguma coisa, seja ela uma carta ou mecânica existente, por exemplo.

Comigo, aconteceu exatamente com uma carta, que não utilizo muito, mas, nesta semana, de acordo com algumas regras batalhas pela qual passei, acabei utilizando ela e me surpreendi muito com a sua eficiência. 

Claro que muitas vezes a sorte ajuda e em outras, uma boa estratégia montada para a equipe se torna fundamental para que cada monstro escalado na batalha tenha o máximo de aproveitamento e com isso, nos traga a vitória.

A unidade em questão é a ***KATRELBA GOBSON***, na qual possuo ela no nível 3:

Ela é uma carta comum, da edição Gladius e apesar de seu uso antigamente ser limitado apenas para as batalhas entre as guildas, atualmente com tantas novidades que chegaram ao Splinterlands, podemos utilizar ela em certas condições nas batalhas ranqueadas.

Possuindo a perigosa ***BLOODLUST***, cada abate a deixa mais forte, além disso, com a sua habilidade ***SNEAK*** seu foco é sempre nas unidades da retaguarda do adversário, o que pode acabar surpreendendo já que geralmente ali no final, ficam unidades com pouca vida.

Para completar, a cereja do bolo: possuindo ***DOUBLE STRIKE***, realiza dois ataques no mesmo turno. Sabendo utilizar bem ela, podemos criar um verdadeiro mostro com um poder ofensivo muito poderoso.

Neste exemplo, pude utilizar ela graças a habilidade ***CONSCRIPT*** que os invocadores ***Reward SB*** possuem, que nos permitem utilizar uma carta Gladius adicional. Possuindo como pontos negativos, o seu custo 6 de mana e que os mesmos podem estar em um nível inferior, pois não podemos comprar cartas para combinar, então tudo depende do que tiramos nos baús.

Para o elemento terra, temos o gorila ***LOBB LOWLAND***, que além de permitir o uso de uma carta gladiadora, ainda remove 1 ponto de velocidade dos adversários, o que pode ser essencial dependendo da batalha que iremos realizar.



Desta forma, temos uma opção a mais para utilizar nas batalhas ranqueadas, pois muitas vezes o adversário não espera que você irá arriscar montar uma equipe com estes novos invocadores e suas poderosas cartas gladiadoras.

Para essa batalha, tínhamos as seguintes regras e condições: 

* Todos os monstros teriam a habilidade ***OPPORTUNITY*** desde o início da partida.

* Apenas cartas com custo de mana par.

Além disso, a capacidade máxima de mana em 29 pontos e os elementos terra, vida e dragão habilitados. Essas condições impostas para a batalha, praticamente já filtrava bem o que poderíamos escolher para compor os times.

Por não gostar / utilizar muito os elementos vida e dragão, então já optei logo de cara pelo elemento terra e mesmo que o meu invocador ***LOBB LOWLAND*** esteja no nível 3, não fazia muito sentido escolher a ***OBSIDIAN (nível 4)*** se unidades mágicas não poderiam ser utilizadas.

Sendo assim, montei a seguinte equipe:

Não havia muitas opções possíveis, então tentei encaixar da melhor forma possível o time, criando uma equipe com dois tanques que possuíam habilidades que ajudariam a segurar o jogo, que seriam o ***HEAL*** e o ***DODGE***, apesar de que eles não seriam o alvo principal.

***VENATOR KINJO*** seria o primeiro alvo a ser focado por conta de seus 2 pontos de vida, depois dele, a ideia era que o foco ficasse nos dois últimos monstros, que são os de ataque a distância. Sendo assim, ***KATRELBA GOBSON*** ficaria protegida por conta de seus 4 pontos de vida, além de estar exatamente no meio da equipe, o que pode oferecer uma proteção a mais.

## Rodada 1

Quando mencionei o fator sorte, não estava de brincadeira, pois o que aconteceu aqui foi simplesmente mágico, pelo menos para mim, pois meu adversário deve ter ficado arrepiado. Mesmo que o ataque do ***ACID SHOOTER*** seja aleatório, nunca imaginei que acertaria a penúltima unidade do meu adversário.

Em seguida, com a sua capacidade de atacar duas vezes e focando na última posição da equipe adversária, simplesmente ocorreu dois abates para ***KATRELBA GOBSON***, com isso, essa primeira rodada acabou com ela recebendo +2 em todos os seus atributos. 

Mesmo que o ataque do ***ACID SHOOTER*** não tivesse acertado onde acertou, a mecânica da habilidade ***BLOODLUST*** já iria dar um primeiro bônus por abater o último monstro e assim ficando com um ataque em 3 pontos, o segundo abate também iria ocorrer.

Nada mal para o fim de uma primeira rodada.

## Rodada 2

Nessa rodada, apesar de ter perdido o meu primeiro tanque, minha estratégia já estava dando certo, pois minha principal carta ainda estaria protegida e conseguiria realizar mais um abate, já que estava causando 8 pontos de dano. Sendo assim, a última unidade do meu adversário também seria derrotada.

Conquistando mais um abate e mais força para seus atributos, a próxima rodada já é iniciada com pelo menos 10 de dano na mesa, por apenas uma carta:

## Rodada 3

Possuindo a maior velocidade dentro da partida, o começo de cada rodada já pertencia a ***KATRELBA GOBSON***, que realizou mais um abate, sendo assim, sobrou apenas os 2 tanques do meu adversário, que apesar de toda a sua força, ainda tinham uma certa vantagem sobre ataques do tipo corpo a corpo.

## Rodada 4

Mesmo estando sozinha, sua elevação de atributos já tinha comprometido toda e qualquer estratégia do meu adversário. Aplicando um total de 12 de dano nessa rodada e recebendo 4 pontos no total por conta do retorno da habilidade ***THORNS***, minha unidade ***KATRELBA GOBSON*** ainda iria ter +1 somado a todos os seus atributos, tirando qualquer chance de vitória do adversário.

## Rodada 5

Por fim, o golpe de misericórdia. Apesar de sua proteção contra-ataques físicos (corpo a corpo e a distância) por conta da habilidade ***SHIELD***, ***CHAOS KNIGHT*** simplesmente foi abatida com o primeiro ataque. Dividindo 7 pontos por 2, teríamos um ataque de 3,5, mas como o dano é arredondado para cima, ela recebeu 4 pontos de dano e assim a derrota para meu adversário.

Uma experiência interessante utilizar ***KATRELBA GOBSON***, pois confesso que não dava muita moral para ela na hora da escalação do time, mas nas últimas batalhas, tenho tentando encaixar ela e tem dado muito certo.

Apesar de iniciar bem fraca com uma grande chance de ser abatida por conta de sua vida inicial baixa, caso as coisas deem certo e com uma boa estratégia, podemos torná-la uma verdadeira máquina de abates, pois atacar duas vezes no mesmo turno e com uma pontuação de ataque tão alta, o estrago que ela pode fazer é enorme!
