When we assemble a team with a well-crafted strategy, it is much easier to obtain the victory we want to achieve when facing an opponent. Now, imagine when that works out in a tournament battle? Much better isn't it?

Well, that's what happened and I want to present to you, a battle that could even be complicated, but with a little calm to think about each position and the skills and units available for the confrontation, the match itself became very quiet, where I got a good victory (spoilers). 😄

Starting with the battle rules, we had ***GOING THE DISTANCE***, [***LITTLE LEAGUE***](https://www.splintercards.com/rulesets.php?rs=16) and [***HEALED OUT***](https://www.splintercards.com/rulesets.php?rs=12). With that we could only use units that attack from a distance and that cost a maximum of 4 mana and all types of cures were disabled, although at the level of this tournament, I don't remember if any unit would have any healing ability, so that last one rule wouldn't even make that much of a difference.

It was certainly a very complicated battle, but right away I accepted the challenge and I would have to deal with the water, earth and dragon elements and I would have to make the 36 mana points worthwhile.

But as I said, calmly, I already thought of something very simple: there would be no magic attacks, so only ranged attacks and since they are physical attacks, who theoretically has the most advantage? Exactly, the water element!

Therefore, it was already easy to choose this element and its summoner ***KELYA FRENDUL***, which grants your team +1 armor and speed, therefore, we would already have 2 advantages for this clash, since both these details would be well used.

Now in choosing the team, I imagined the following strategy for this challenging battle:


* 1st > ***VENARI MARKSRAT*** with his skill [***MARTYR***](https://www.splintercards.com/abilities.php?ab=99), aiming to improve all attributes of the monster that is in second position, as the improved speed and armor would be essential.


* 2nd > ***TOWER GRIFFIN*** and its skill [***FLYING***](https://www.splintercards.com/abilities.php?ab=2) would be the key to win, because with its increased speed and skill, there was a high chance that it could dodge enemy attacks frequently.


* 3rd > ***MERDHAMPIR*** because of his ability [***LIFE LEECH***](https://www.splintercards.com/abilities.php?ab=20), being in third position would give time to raise your life, after all, each successful attack adds +1 to life, making you become a kind of tank.


* 4th and 5th > Nothing special, because it was basically what was left of monsters with the highest health, so if they took the first positions, they could hold the damage a little.


* 6th > ***KULU SWIMHUNTER***, as it is my only monster with attack power of 2 points, I left it last, because usually when you have only ranged attacks, it is not customary to have a unit with [***SNEAK***](https://www.splintercards.com/abilities.php?ab=3), so this is the most protected place.

So, now we can have an overview of the team in the image below:

My opponent chose a very interesting team too and I believe they thought of the same strategy of leaving ***TOWER GRIFFIN*** in the first position. In action 14 of round 1, my ***VENARI MARKSRAT*** was shot down and with that my ***TOWER GRIFFIN*** gained the improvement in its attributes, so, here was the time to put the strategy to work fire.

From here things happened the way I had imagined, with my opponent's monsters missing the attacks, we can see that in action 5 of round 2 he had only lost his armor, and my opponent's team had already attacked with almost all the units.

So even though the opposing team gained a speed boost on par with my team at certain points, the skill [***FLYING***](https://www.splintercards.com/abilities.php?ab=2) would have an advantage against those who do not have it, that is, the entire opposing team.

In round 5 they managed to defeat my ***TOWER GRIFFIN***, with that, the strategy set up was a success, as it gave enough time for my ***MERDHAMPIR*** to gain a lot of life and the rest of the team to do your part in applying damage to opponents.

At this point, I believe there was practically no turning back and victory was assured. My team was complete and the opponent's team had low-life monsters, so it was just a question of getting the attacks right and that was it.

At this point in round 6, just to show you, my team was practically untouched, while my opponent's was completely subdued, with no chance of a comeback.

The end of the match was in round 9, as there were many rounds, I summarized how the whole process went. As we can see, each team member who was correctly positioned did his job with great efficiency, which ensured victory for me in this tournament battle.

We observed that even though the battle rules are quite boring and complex, we can calmly think of a very interesting team that will do a great job on the battlefield.

The idea is always to take advantage of the minutes we have during the team building phase and think about how we can take advantage of every rule and availability of elements, to put together a team and strategy that will be very efficient.

Remember that getting your team in quickly won't make any difference, so take advantage of the minutes you have and use your head to think of something really cool! Good luck in the battles!

Quando montamos um time com uma estratégia bem elaborada, fica bem mais fácil obter a vitória que desejamos conquistar ao enfrentar um oponente. Agora, imagina quando isso da certo em uma batalha de torneio? Bem melhor não é?

Pois bem, foi isso que aconteceu e quero apresentar para vocês, uma batalha que poderia até ser complicada, mas, que com um pouco de calma para pensar em cada posicionamento e nas habilidades e unidades disponíveis para o confronto, a partida em si se tornou bem tranquila, onde obtive uma boa vitória (spoilers). 😄

Começando pelas regras da batalha, tínhamos ***GOING THE DISTANCE***, [***LITTLE LEAGUE***](https://www.splintercards.com/rulesets.php?rs=16) e [***HEALED OUT***](https://www.splintercards.com/rulesets.php?rs=12). Com isso poderíamos utilizar apenas unidades que atacam a distância e que custem no máximo 4 de mana e todos os tipos de curas estavam desabilitados, apesar de que no nível deste torneio, não me recordo se alguma unidade teria alguma habilidade de cura, então essa ultima regra nem iria fazer tanta diferença assim.

Com certeza uma batalha bem complicada, mas logo de cara já aceitei o desafio e teria que me virar com os elementos água, terra e dragão e teria que fazer os 36 pontos de mana valarem a pena.

Só que como dito, com calma, já pensei em algo bem simples: não haveria ataques mágicos, então apenas ataques a distância e como são ataques físicos, quem teoricamente leva mais vantagem? Exatamente, o elemento água!

Sendo assim, já ficou fácil escolher este elemento e sua invocadora ***KELYA FRENDUL***, que concede para sua equipe +1 de armadura e velocidade, sendo assim, já teríamos 2 vantagens para esse embate, já que ambos estes detalhes seriam bem aproveitados.

Agora na escolha da equipe, imaginei a seguinte estratégia para essa batalha desafiadora:


* 1º > ***VENARI MARKSRAT*** com a sua habilidade [***MARTYR***](https://www.splintercards.com/abilities.php?ab=99), visando justamente melhorar todos os atributos do monstro que está na segunda posição, pois a velocidade e armadura melhorados seria essencial.


* 2º > ***TOWER GRIFFIN*** e sua habilidade [***FLYING***](https://www.splintercards.com/abilities.php?ab=2) seriam a chave para vencer, pois com sua velocidade aumentada e sua habilidade, havia uma grande chance de que conseguisse desviar com frequência dos ataques inimigos.


* 3º > ***MERDHAMPIR*** por conta de sua habilidade [***LIFE LEECH***](https://www.splintercards.com/abilities.php?ab=20), estando na terceira posição daria tempo de subir a sua vida, afinal cada ataque bem-sucedido somaria +1 de vida, o fazendo se tornar uma espécie de tanque.


* 4º e 5º > Nada de especial, pois era basicamente o que sobrou de monstros com a vida mais elevada, então caso eles assumissem as primeiras posições, poderiam segurar um pouco o dano.


* 6º > ***KULU SWIMHUNTER***, por ser o meu único monstro com poder de ataque em 2 pontos, deixei ele por último, pois geralmente quando têm apenas ataques a distância, não é costume ter alguma unidade com [***SNEAK***](https://www.splintercards.com/abilities.php?ab=3), então, este é o lugar mais protegido.

Então, agora podemos ter uma visão geral da equipe na imagem abaixo:

O meu adversário escalou um time bem interessante também e acredito que pensou a mesma estratégia de deixar o ***TOWER GRIFFIN*** na primeira posição. Na ação 14 da rodada 1, meu ***VENARI MARKSRAT*** foi abatido e com isso o meu ***TOWER GRIFFIN*** ganhou a melhoria em seus atributos, sendo assim, aqui era o momento de colocar a estratégia a fogo.

A partir daqui às coisas aconteceram da forma como havia imaginado, com os monstros do meu adversário errando os ataques, podemos observar que na ação 5 da rodada 2 ele havia perdido apenas a armadura, e o time do meu adversário já havia atacado com quase todas as unidades.

Então, mesmo que a equipe adversária tenha ganho um aumento na velocidade igualando com a minha equipe em certos pontos, a habilidade [***FLYING***](https://www.splintercards.com/abilities.php?ab=2) teria vantagem contra aqueles que não há possuem, ou seja, a equipe adversária inteira.

Na rodada 5 que conseguiram derrotar o meu ***TOWER GRIFFIN***, com isso, a estratégia montada foi um sucesso, por dar tempo suficiente para o meu ***MERDHAMPIR*** ganhar bastante vida e o resto da equipe fazer a sua parte em aplicar dano nos adversários. 

Neste ponto, acredito que praticamente já não havia mais volta e a vitória estava garantida. Minha equipe bem inteira e a do adversário com monstros com pouca vida, então a questão era somente acertas os ataques e aí já era.

Neste momento da rodada 6, apenas para mostrar, minha equipe estava praticamente intocada, enquanto a do meu adversário, totalmente subjugada, sem chances de acontecer uma virada.

O fim da partida foi na rodada 9, como houveram muitas rodadas, fiz um resumo de como foi todo o processo. Como podemos observar, cada membro da equipe que foi corretamente posicionada fez a sua função com uma ótima eficiência, o que garantiu a vitória para mim nesta batalha de torneio.

Observamos que mesmo que as regras de batalhas sejam bem chatas e complexas, com calma podemos pensar em um time bem interessante que irá realizar um ótimo trabalho no campo de batalha.

A ideia é sempre aproveitar os minutos que temos durante a fase de montagem da equipe e pensar em como podemos aproveitar cada regra e disponibilidade de elementos, para montar uma equipe e estratégia que terão uma ótima eficiência.

Lembre-se que colocar a sua equipe rapidamente não fará diferença em nada, então aproveite os minutos que tem e use a cabeça para pensar em algo bem legal! Boa sorte nas batalhas!
