When we talk about love, the first thing that comes to mind is how good it is, being the strongest feeling we can all feel. There is no shortage of examples of how love can change everything, our lives, people, ideas and concepts, everything can be changed for the better when love comes into play, but even so, at certain times, the simple fact of loving is complex, which makes us wonder if it really is a good thing all the time. In my opinion, even love has its negative side at certain times.

Maybe the word “negative” is harsh, but we know that, for love, many people kill and die, and I don’t think that’s a good thing. It’s a very simple example, but I think that love does have its complexities, which end up making us reflect on this subject. I’d like to share a personal example: my relationship with my wife, which from time to time makes me wonder: is love really like this? Like this, with such good moments and others so complicated? One wrong word and it seems like everything falls apart. It’s sad, but also funny at the same time.

On February 9th, I’ll have been with my wife for 10 years, and it still seems like I’m figuring out how everything works. I’m not a saint, much less perfect, but I try to do everything I can for her and my children. However, she often complains about me and I feel like everything I do is still not enough, and the demands seem to have no ceiling, no acceptable limit, and it’s more or less this point that makes me think: how can the best feeling in the universe be so complex? She says she loves us, but some of her actions seem to be different, which is what causes the romantic confusion in my life.

On the one hand, it's been 10 years and I also believe that if it weren't for love, we would certainly be far away from each other by now. That's what love is, it's accepting and loving the person who they are, their qualities and unfortunately also their flaws, their complexes. We'll talk a lot and still not much will change, but well, that's how it works, at least that's what I think. We just can't give up on our love and the person they love, and gradually, one day at a time, things will change and get better.

Quando falamos de amor, com certeza a primeira coisa que vem em mente é como isso é bom, sendo o sentimento mais forte que todos podemos sentir. Não faltam exemplos de como o amor pode mudar tudo, a nossa vida, as pessoas, as ideias e concepções, tudo pode ser modificado para melhor quando o amor entra em jogo, mas, mesmo assim em certos momentos, o simples fato de amar é complexo, o que nos faz pensar se ele realmente é uma coisa boa o tempo todo. Na minha opinião, até mesmo o amor tem o seu lado negativo em certos momentos.

Talvez a palavra “negativo” seja pesada, mas sabemos que, por amor, muitos matam e morrem e eu não acho que isso seja uma coisa boa, é um exemplo bem simples, mas acho que amar tem sim suas complexidades, que acabam por nos fazer refletir sobre esse assunto. Gostaria de compartilhar um exemplo pessoal: a minha relação com a minha esposa, que de tempos em tempos vive me fazendo pensar, será que o amor é assim mesmo? Dessa forma, com momentos tão bons e outros tão complicados? Uma palavra errada e parece que tudo desaba, é algo triste, mas até engraçado ao mesmo tempo.

No dia 9 de fevereiro, irá fazer 10 anos que estou com a minha esposa e ainda parece que estou descobrindo como tudo funciona. Não sou santo e muito menos perfeito, mas tento fazer de tudo por ela e por meus filhos, mas, com uma certa frequência, ela ainda reclama de mim e eu sinto como se tudo o que fizesse ainda fosse pouco e a exigência parece não ter um teto, um limite aceitável e é mais ou menos esse ponto que faz pensar, como pode o melhor sentimento do universo ser tão complexo? Ela fala que ama, mas em algumas atitudes dela parece que não é bem assim e, com isso, gera a confusão amorosa da minha vida.

Por um lado, são 10 anos e também acredito que, se não fosse amor, com certeza já estaríamos bem longe um do outro. Amor é isso, é você aceitar e amar o que a pessoa é, suas qualidades e infelizmente também os seus defeitos, seus complexos e vamos conversar muito e mesmo assim pouca coisa irá mudar, mas bem, é assim mesmo que funciona, pelo menos é o que penso. Só não podemos desistir do nosso amor e de quem ele ama e gradualmente, um dia de cada vez, as coisas vão mudando e se ajeitando.
