I like photos taken with a black and white filter. I've mentioned here a few times that this type of effect makes the photo look like a reflection, that perhaps the absence of colors makes us think that we should fight to color everything at every moment and every second of our lives.

But I also know that photos in this tone can represent sadness, depression, bitterness, mourning, and so I thought that the photo of this stuffed animal in black and white would be exactly that context.

My aunt Lúcia gave my daughter this stuffed animal shortly before she passed away last year. I don't know exactly the day or when it was, I just know that she gave it to my daughter as a gift and after everything that happened, I always tell her to take care of it as much as possible, after all, it's a reminder of someone who loved my little girl very much.

That's what's written in my heart and it still hurts a little. I get emotional every time I stop and look at her and start to remember that this won't be possible anymore. I try not to remember too much, not because she didn't mean anything, but because every time I think about her, I start to want to cry and I try to think about the good times, about everything my aunt Lúcia did and meant to me.

My daughter remembers her, but since she's just a child, she forgets more easily what happened. Her cell phone, her little friends, the videos on YouTube, the time she spends with me, her mother and her brother, all of this helps her to keep her mind occupied and so I don't see her commenting or saying anything, even when she sleeps at night hugging her stuffed animal.

*Life is now, just live and love, love everything and everyone with all your strength, because when the end comes, the only thing that remains is the longing and memories of the good times...*

Eu gosto de fotos tiradas com um filtro preto e branco. Algumas vezes já comentei por aqui que esse tipo de efeito faz a foto parecer uma reflexão, que talvez a ausência de cores nos faça pensar que devemos justamente lutar para colorir tudo a cada momento e a cada segundo de nossas vidas.

Mas também sei que fotos nessa tonalidade podem representar tristeza, depressão, amargura, luto e por isso, pensei que a foto desse bichinho de pelúcia em preto e branco seria esse exato contexto.

Minha tia Lúcia deu para a minha filha esse bichinho um pouco antes de falecer no ano passado. Eu não sei bem o dia, nem quando foi exatamente, apenas sei que ela deu de presente para a minha filha e depois de tudo o que aconteceu, sempre falo para ela cuidar o máximo possível dele, afinal, é uma lembrança de alguém que amou muito minha pequena.

É o que está escrito dentro do coração e isso ainda dói um pouco, eu me emociono toda vez que paro e vejo e começo a lembrar que isso não será mais possível, eu tento não lembrar muito, não porque ela não significou nada, mas sim, porque cada vez que penso, começo a querer chorar e tento pensar nos bons  momentos, em tudo o que a minha tia Lúcia fez e representou para mim.

Minha filha lembra dela, mas sendo apenas uma criança, ela esquece com mais facilidade do que aconteceu, o celular, os amiguinhos, os vídeos no YouTube, o tempo que ela passa comigo, sua mãe e seu irmão, tudo isso ajuda ela a ocupar a mente e com isso eu não vejo ela comentar ou falar algo, mesmo quando ela dorme a noite abraçada com o seu bichinho de pelúcia.

*A vida é agora, apenas viva e ame, ame tudo e a todos com todas as suas forças, pois quando o fim chega, a única coisa que resta é a saudade e as lembranças dos bons momentos...*

Hello my friend.

That's a big truth there, sometimes the rush of life keeps us from hugging and giving love properly to those beloved ones around us, not because we love them less, but cause we sometimes forget they're not eternal and the most unexpected day they might not be there for us to hug or express how much they mean in our life and how much we need them around. That's why rush must be stopped for a while from time to time to make a hole in our overloaded-fighting- for- survival agenda and spend some quality time with our families, making a call, having a lunch time or a sunday hanging out, so although we miss them if they went away, at least we are satisfied with the way we could succeed at showing and giving them as much love as we could.
