Byteball is a DAG, with smart contracts! A DAG is not a blockchain, but is like a Tangle, which is what IOTA runs on. I wrote earlier about how currently DAGs can't have any smart contracts, which is a severe weakness to them. The reason why they can't have these smart contracts is because they don't have a clear way to tell which transaction comes first that is powerful enough for smart contracts.
But Byteball has solved this problem! It adds witnesses to a DAG so that basically they can decide together the order of the transactions. This combines the benefits of the blockchain (clear order, amazing protection against attacks, smart contracts) with the benefits of a DAG.
# What is a DAG?

A DAG is different from a blockchain in that it is not a straight chain with no branches, it is a web of transactions, each referencing previous ones.
In a DAG, there are no fees, because instead of fees, the accounts who create transactions do a small amount of mining instead of paying a fee. Plus, transactions confirm very quickly because they don't have to wait for a block to be confirmed with their transaction in it.
# The App
Byteball has its own app, which you can see [here](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.byteball.wallet). Sadly it is not on the App Store because Apple is currently very cautious about cryptocurrencies and doesn't want to approve an app like Byteball right now. But if you want it on your iPhone, you can get it [here](https://github.com/byteball/byteball/blob/master/building-for-ios.md).
The app has a messenger inside, which allows you to interact with bots inside the app. You can also send payments to others in text messages or even emails, they just have to click a link!
Inside the app you can also control your identity and release it to ICO's, smart contracts, etc. somewhat like Civic. It has betting smart contracts and oracles integrated, insurance, and much more.
Byteball Bytes (Byteball's currency) very undervalued right now, currently at #68 in market cap and worth $444. I can't believe it isn't higher with IOTA being in the top 10! I could definitely see it in the top 30 and would not be surprised if it rose above IOTA in market share, which would make its value skyrocket to over $8500!
