At one point I was in a situation where I was getting little to no upvotes on almost all of my posts, even though I had almost 50 followers.

#### What was I posting at the time?
Mostly, I was writing about certain cryptocurrencies that people most likely didn’t know about. For example, one of my posts at that time was called: _GXB — The Blockchain For Data_

I was actually using a random number generator to choose a cryptocurrency in the top 100 to talk about. In hindsight, I know that that is not a good idea, but it was what I was doing at the time.

 I started to notice that my few posts on other topics, like news and the future of cryptocurrencies, were doing many times better than the rest of my posts. So I started to gear my account towards these, and away from talking about random cryptocurrencies. 

I had massive success, with the average post earning almost 10x more than my older ones, and being in general much more popular.


### The problem is that I see a massive amount of posts that are about these small ICOs and cryptocurrencies, that don’t really seem that interesting

#### So why aren’t these posts about small cryptocurrencies and ICOs profitable?

There are two main reasons for this unpopularity:

1. **The headline**.        ‘GXB: The Blockchain for Data’ doesn’t sound very exciting, does it? And would you click on this post in your feed, surrounded by many other posts with titles like: ‘Youtube Advertisements Mine Monero on Thousands of Computers’ or ‘The Big Problem With IOTA’ ?

2. **Is it really interesting?** Would you want to read a 600 word post about an ICO you’ve never heard about and don’t really care about? People put lots of time into writing these posts to be long and in-depth, but they don’t need to be. The thing you should worry most about is the headline and whether people will click on your post, because almost all people who click on your post will go on to upvote, as long as the post isn’t trash.

#### So if ever you think you want to post about an ICO or currency, think if _you_ would want to read it. Make sure that the headline is strong and makes people want to click.
