It's not easy drawing an upside down Kickman.


So, something extremely interesting has happened in this particular page. Something that most people probably would never notice, but I know that webcomic readers are a particularly bright and perceptive bunch, so I'm sure a couple of you may have caught it the first-ever occurrence in the pages of Kickman.


Think about it before you scroll down and I tell you what it is.

This is the first time ever...

in the history of Kickman...


that Kickman has kicked someone with his left foot!


Seriously. Kickman always kicks with his right foot. As you can see from his awkward, upside-down foot flailing, and the fact that the henchman he kicked in the face didn't fly backwards forty feet, Kickman is not very adept at kicking with his left.


Now go watch *Bloodsport* and *Kickboxer*. Then come back and tell me in which scene and I'm pretty sure it only happens once, Van Damme kicks a guy with his left foot.

But without as much control, so he will probably destroy the 4th wall.  Maybe even the 5th and 6th...

True Kickman story: Kickman is based on a real person, a buddy of mine that was on our high school soccer team and also the kicker for the football team. He was not very good at kicking with his left, so the assistant coach grabbed him away from the rest of the team and drilled with him to kick with his left foot for an entire practice. Next game, he was on the sideline, walked up to the coach and said, "I'm going to score." The coach looked at him, called for a sub, then on the next play, Jason--I mean Kickman--did a left-footed kick that actually shot through the net. True story.
