*<p>I have never lost my smile even though my life crossed with cancer, I know that many thought in my presentation that my cut was a change of look but no, I am a fighter of this great battle called Cancer, or what I actually have leukemia.</p>*

>*<p>Yo nunca he perdido mi sonrisa a pesar de que mi vida se cruzó con el cáncer, sé que muchos pensaron en mi presentación que mi corte era un cambio de look pero no, soy una luchadora de esta gran batalla llamada Cáncer, o lo que en realidad tengo leucemia.</p>*

Some forms of leukemia are more common in children. Others take place mainly in adults. Treatment for leukemia can be complex, depending on the type of leukemia and other factors. But there are strategies and resources that can help make treatment successful.</p>*

>*<p>La leucemia es el cáncer de los tejidos que forman la sangre en el organismo, incluso la médula ósea y el sistema linfático. Existen muchos tipos de leucemia. Algunas formas de leucemia son más frecuentes en niños. Otras tienen lugar, principalmente, en adultos. El tratamiento para la leucemia puede ser complejo, según el tipo de leucemia y según otros factores. Pero existen estrategias y recursos que pueden ayudar a hacer que el tratamiento sea exitoso.</p>*

*<p>I was a girl like any other but from one day to another my feelings changed, I began to feel cold and chills, fatigue, weakness and small red spots on my skin, my mom said it was an allergy and I eliminated everything little by little until I continued to get worse and when they took me to the doctor after many studies I was diagnosed. </p>*


>*<p>Era una chica como otra pero de un día a otro mi sentir cambio, comencé a sentir fríos y escalofríos, fatiga, debilidad y pequeñas manchas rojas en mi piel, mi mamá decía que era una alergia y me fue eliminando todo poco a poco hasta que seguí empeorando y cuando de llevaron al médico después de muchos estudios me diagnosticaron. </p>*

*<p>My mother started crying and I just smiled, thinking it was a lie, but when I saw Dr. Gina's face I realized it was true, I asked her, will I die? He said no, we're on time, I smiled again and said out loud, I'll live!</p>*

>*<p>Mi madre comenzó a llorar y yo solo sonreí pensando que era mentira, pero al ver la cara de la Doctora Gina me di cuenta que era verdad, le pregunte ¿moriré? Me dijo no, estamos a tiempo, sonreí de nuevo y dije en voz alta, ¡viviré!</p>*

*<p>When I realized that it could all be over, I started to value every minute, came home and asked my brother to cut my hair to show people that it wasn't so bad. I became a fighting, positive, and very committed woman to life and society, cancer taught me the meaning of living.</p>*

>*<p>Cuando me di cuenta de que todo se podía acabar, empecé a valorar cada minuto, llegue a casa y le pedí a mi hermano que me cortara el cabello para demostrarle a las personas que no estaba tan mal. Me volvi una mujer luchadora, posiiva y muy comprometida con la vida y con la sociedad, el cáncer me enseñó el significado de vivir.</p>*
