# Letanía final


Esas manos que ahora vienen a tocar mi rostro,
 esas que ahora espantan el vacío,
abren puertas a las tinieblas,
 que muestran un camino de dolor y de asperezas,
 una historia entre su piel cuarteada,
acarician para aliviar su angustia, 
esas manos ahora cubren mi vergüenza,
 intentan dignificar la vida que se me escapa.
 
Esas manos no encuentran los asideros filiales,
 las palabras de cariño que no logré expresar
cuando mis labios las dejaban caer
 como una piedra, 
al fin y al cabo, 
la cosa era tomar lo que era mío
 porque la autoridad del trabajo lo dictaba.

Esas manos que ahora me hacen temblar ante su mudez, 
 que se encuentran y desencuentran en los recuerdos,
miran el camino sin recorrer, 
ahora buscan en mi rostro 
 las emociones que no supe dar.

Those hands that now come to touch my face,
 those that now frighten away the emptiness,
they open doors to the darkness,
 that show a path of pain and roughness,
 a story among their cracked skin,

those hands now cover my shame,

when my lips let them fall
