Whenever we think of a flowery scent, what comes to mind is something light, something sweet and soft. Something with an airy presence or something faint. Yet this is not the case with the plumeria flower.  
It has a flowery scent but yet it's strong and deep. It almost has, do I dare say, a rugged scent.  

Now its appearance is very delicate and very feminine and you would never have guessed that it would have something so robust of a smell.  Its almost like a punch in the sensory part  of the brains. It's scent is the strongest at night when the moth come out to pollinate it.  It's scent is something to remember and could be picked out very easily  amongst other scents.

I've gathered my inspiration and will to overcome from this georgeous flower. It's what I wish to be like today and  the footprint I wish to leave on earth once I leave this plane in many years to come-being light but yet grounded with a deep essence, soft but yet firm with purpose and great intent. But mostly, to be the strongest when the darkness ensues. 

Plumeria are indigenous to the Caribbean and they are used in weddings.

They have strong symbolic meanings in different cultures. In the Pacific Islands they are used for making leis. In southeastern Asia the local folk belief they provide shelter to ghosts and demons. In Polynesian culture it can be worn to signify your relationship status- over the right ear your taken, over the left your seeking a relationship.

Whichever way you interpret the meaning and what you take away from it, I would have to say the plumeria and its essence deserves great respect! The messages in its scent are anything but subtle!
