Working with the modeling clay ^_^

<p>When my hubby started to teach me some art techniques to sculpt, he started with some lessons about the clay to make terracotta. We call this kind of clay <em>creta</em> or <em>argilla</em>. I love to work with creta and sometimes I made little sculptures and little vases too ^_^ You have to know that the <em>creta</em> (the clay) is a natural soil material with traces of quartz and organic materials and it contains some water in the structure. It's a plastic material and so you can create many different form with it, but it become hard when it dried. When your sculpture in clay is well dried, you have to "cook" it in a special oven for many hours. We have a clay oven in our lab and so we can easely use it in the winter, but during the summer is really impossible because the hot temperatures.</p>
<p>Because of this, today I bought a bit of air hardening modeling clay, so I can made my little sculpture without to use the oven ^_^</p>

<p>I used this kind of clay when I was a little child and I remeber the teachers helped me and the other little ones to create something for our parents. Well, my parents received some ugly (very ugly! ^_^) little vases, but they were good parents and always said to me that everything was super! :D</p>
<p>Now I'm an adult and I prefer to create my freaky animal and some rounded-head characters with this clay, so I started to model the clay. My little helper was close to me all the time ^_^</p>
