Noodling often leads to new ideas for riffs or potential leads within songs. It also lets you explore new ways of playing and keeps the hands and muscle memory intact. For the audio I also wanted to try out a few different layers of plugins on the track. I added some compression, reverb, a subtle pitch shift (one octave below) to get a larger sound. So far the spaces after each note have an interesting lingering tone that can be useful in a slower song where notes can be emphasized in space. Thanks for listening :-)

Yeah I have pretty old yamaha monitors, they work good though and have lasted at least 10 years. I use cakewalk by bandlab for my DAW and an edirol UA 101 as my audio interface. Though in this case I recorded the audio via my zoom h6 then imported it into cakewalk later to add the effects.
