It seems that some accounts holding large sums of SBD and Steem were compromised and funds were withdrawn. I have read two updates regarding the incident, but it is obvious that both were published in a sense of emergency to keep the public informed of what matters the most at the moment.

I would appreciate though, some moment later, to read a brief explanation of the platform vulnerabilities exploited, if any, and then estimate on an individual basis what steps as a user should anyone take.
