Confessions of a Bored Geek
So what to write today? I started doing a restaurant review last evening but on Hive there’s no @tasteem anymore. 

The review will arrive on HIVE, just not today. It doesn't feel like that kind of day.

I liked @tasteem, won a lot of their contest probably because of my stake size and not because of my writing style, but I can persuade myself that I can write and maybe I won them for that reason.

Those contests are still going and barely anyone enters them as the @misterdelegation pulled their delegation. They still take a 9% of author rewards and dish out 50% votes now.

It’s still worth it for the smaller stakeholders. They can win all the contests now, as I don’t do STEEM.

Should I rescind my proclamation and resume duel posting? It is tempting but I can’t go back on my word as that would be sacrilegious.

I have been out of work since Christmas Eve 2019. It's getting boring, every day is the same, get up, eat, mess around on STEEM/HIVE, write something, post it, switch on the PS4, do a little gaming, eat, crash, rinse and repeat.

What day is it today, Monday or Friday? They are all the same to me. 

We can’t even go out anymore unless walking the dog constitutes that. Talk about a boring life.

I have been offered a contract, that’s if they don’t pull it at the last minute. I’m awaiting a DBS check (criminal check), which will show nothing as I haven’t been in trouble with the law since I stole a large bar of chocolate when I was 17.

I quite liked that series, I wrote it a long time ago on the STEEM blockchain. Does anyone remember STEEM? Oh yeah, that's the place for looters. I better move on.

Maybe I will post it all again on Hive with some tweaks and extra content. Other artists produce special editions so why shouldn’t we?

@bingbabe has managed to get a job so she’s keeping me in food and beer for the moment. Someone has got to do the work while I lounge about all day.

This is not my typical post. It doesn’t educate, teach or even make you laugh. I could say it’s a shit-post really, which means it should be targeted on to STEEM and not HIVE.

Yes you're right. A lot of *goodbye Steem* posts have been followed by a lot of cross posting.  You can't blame them since Blocktrades and OCD are still dishing out huge upvotes on there. I'd post and get that free money if I were you.

I think you need to look at it from an investment point. You are not dual posting, and you are not looting, you are investing your time and effort to obtain a return on investment. I still use steem for voting, if I was able to post more often or frequently I would do that also, but I have limited my posting to Hive for now do to time. I like to read and see a lot of things, and then i just have to throw in my comment or thoughts on some post, and there is that time thing again, so no post on steem, and a lot less comments on steem, but still get my votes out on steem.

Also if they are flagging you, you can help all the other tiny people on steem that really are shit posting by draining their down vote mana pile, thus allowing the true shit posters time to drain the reward pool on steem.

That would work. I generally check Hive first, then steem, but a few times you have posted after I left Hive to look at steem, and I was commenting on when i saw the post not on what site I was on, It happens most with tarazkp's post, but also with other peoples post. I don't want to sound like a broken record or copy paste my comment from one sites post to another sites post, and if I forget I commented on one site, and then comment on the other site, some time may have passed and my comment might be different because I read the post different or was in a different mood. I have never been bothered by being seen as wishy-washy on my opinions or thoughts, they change as circumstances or time changes. I dislike stagnation, I am not sure how I feel about Chaos, but I know I am one of those weird people that love change, even when it is just change for the sake of change.

I've also said my adios on Steem.  I check in just to see, but I'm so done there.  I'm guessing that in 12 weeks I'll quit checking entirely.  

I've got a good post hanging.  Will I post it today?  I'm still thinking about it.  Beings as how I'm a lazy SOB I'd guess yes.

I disagree with this being a shit post.  It's pulled back the curtain a bit on you and that's got to be a good thing.

I am planning on pulling in curation rewards, but I don't plan on posting to Steem anymore except for my Sports Talk and Actifit posts.  I know STS is moving to Hive, so probably even that will go away eventually. Has there been any movement lately on Steem now that we have went our own way?  I kind of expected a hard fork to happen the day after Hive went live.

If it makes you feel better, you wouldn't be posting to Steem, you're merely copying and pasting a Hive post to Steem.  The E from ethics doesn't appear in  *copying and pasting*

All I could think about in January was the time I had booked off in March.  Lost my job and finished on the 6th March and now all I want to do is get up and go to work in the morning.  I can't even pull my hair out as that buggered off on its own accord.

Sat here attempting to complete the Linux+ courses on Pluralsight ... tomorrow I might just do it wearing a suit - might make me feel like I'm doing something useful.

On the up side I can now find my desk :)

No, was apparently permanent :)

We do indeed!  I've been struggling with my back and sciatica so haven't ventured too far this week.  Going to try the slightly firmer mattress in the spare room tonight to see if that helps with a hope of a nice 4 - 5 miler tomorrow.
