Un viernes como cualquier otro, Rodolfo acompañado de su esposa, Ayarit,  lleva intenciones de tasca en su caminar.

De pronto, lo saludan Juan, aquel joven estudiante del último año de ingeniería. ¡Epale! ¿cómo estás?

Recuerdas aquella conversación sobre el vino?

Aprovechemos que estamos acá cerca de la tasca de Josè y nos tomamos un traguito mientras curioseamos en esto. ¿te parece ?


Bueno, llamemos a José, que ya sabes, nos deja entrar temprano para compartir un poco.

José el personaje, amigo amable y risueño siempre; abre su local después de contestar la llamada desde el móvil que le hizo Rodolfo.
Los invita a pasar, y los ubica cerca de la barra.

¡José, vente con nosotros!

¡Claro! Responde como siempre a la invitación de su amigo. Ya saben, todavía no abren al público, y están por llegar los meseros que trabajan con el.

Y en seguida abro tema:  ¿Recuerdas la última vez que hablamos de vino?, Pues escribí algo al respecto y lo publiqué.

Ese día, un amigo lector me hizo una pregunta y le dije que en otro post tocaría el punto.

Quería saber si podía tomar vino cuando toma medicamentos….

José entrega unas flores a Ayarit como homenaje a su visita a su tasca. E inmediatamente dice: difícil, porque hay variedades de uva que a su vez, dan variedades de vinos. 

Así es José, respondo! Y esas variedades de uva, llamadas cepas, saben distinto según el lugar de su procedencia.

Hombre, caminando José desde la bodega, acá nos vamos a beber está botella de vino. Aquí dice Merlot. ¿Que les parece?

Juan, algo neófito, pregunta: ¿Merlot? ...

Si, digo adelantándome un poco.

¡Los vinos se clasifican según la cepa de su procedencia!

Este por ejemplo, es obtenido de una uva llamada Merlot.
Esta es procedente del suroeste de Francia. 

Pero dada su capacidad de adaptación, ha sido exportada a muchas regiones del mundo, y allí se producen vinos de este tipo Merlot.

O sea, que ¿hay otras clases?

¡Claro hombre! Exclamó José, acompañando su afirmación con un sorbo a la copa, que previamente movió en su mano en forma circular para luego percibir su aroma y finalmente libar el trago.

Y Rodolfo añade,: La Cabernet - Sauvignon es otra cepa importantísima de uvas. Pero de ella hablaremos otro día; hay que atender a la señora Merlot que está hoy con nosotros, y no queremos que se ponga celosa. Jajajajaja.

Todos ríen con la ocurrencia, mientras con jocosidad saludan con reverencia a la fría botella que ya no está completa.

Es decir, que este es un vino francés?

Buena pregunta mi pana, (forma cercana de decir "amigo" en la usanza venezolana).

Este vino es un vino Merlot chileno. O sea, se produjo en Chile, con sus propias cepas de esta uva.

Ojalá tuviéramos un tinto español por acá para que compararas ambos Merlots.

El sabor no tan ácido es compartido por ambos, y el aroma (llamado bouquette) y su sabor, nos dejan en la mente una imagen a frutos. 

Interesante.

Los conocedores de la materia afirman que es más sencillo adaptar la cepa Merlot que la cepa Cabernet- Sauvignon, razón por la cual la primera se ha extendido más rápido en el mundo.

Y a mi esposa le parece mejor a su paladar el Merlot que el Cabernet Sauvignon.

Y ella aduce: cierto, y es una opinión que comparto con algunas amigas y hermanas, ya que es menos fuerte y más dulce.

Pero esto no ha impedido que esta última veriedad también esté muy difundida, y para muchos los Cabernet Sauvignon son los mejores.

José, siempre agudo, afirma: lo que sucede es que el vino obtenido de las Merlot sirve para hacer esas mezclas para vinos menos costosos, más al alcance de otros bolsillos, y como su sabor frutal es aceptado por todos los paladares, se deja tomar por todos.

¡Exacto! ¡Y salud por eso!, arrojo mi voz al salón, con lo cual salen otras sonrisas en honor a la Señora Merlot.

Juan, atento siempre y muy ágil en su curiosidad: y ¿que comidas acompaño con este vino? ¿Es igual que el Cabernet para las comidas?

Excelente pregunta Juan, como siempre.

Debido a que este tipo de vino es un tanto más dulce y con sabor a frutas, suave en su cuerpo, siempre en comparación con los Cabernet, puede acompañar comidas con fuerte sabor como quesos manchegos, carnes rojas, pescados como el atún, u otro con contenido graso como el salmón, las carnes de cacería, o un buen arroz.

>>Excellent question Juan, as always. Ya deben estar por llegar los meseros. Y precisamente tengo por acá de hoy un arroz a la marinera….

Y saca Juan una realidad. ¡Pero habrá que tener otra botella, porque está ya no tiene!

Llegan los meseros y a los cinco minutos, aquel profesor con el que habían hablado de la cerveza anteriormente. Los meseros traen la otra botella.


Ah profe, vengase con nosotros.

El afable amigo acepta, y comenta: venía por cerveza, pero esto está muy bien. ¿Recuerdan esa conversa de la historia de la cerveza?. 
Escribí sobre esa tarde, y les pareció buena la forma; sobre todo a un sr. con aspecto de literato llamado  @ylich.  Se lo agradezco desde aquí.

Llega el arroz, y Juan hace una pregunta antes de la comida:

Rodolfo y ¿que le dijiste a tu lector sobre el vino y los medicamentos?
¡No me digas que lo habías olvidado!

¡Para nada! Respondo raudo.

@josevas217 hizo esa pregunta. Y la respuesta es que no se puede.
Pero es tan triste servirle que no a alguien que se interesa por el vino, que quise dejarlo para el final jajajajajaja.
