Freedom is a topic, view or concept that is being talked about all over the world. It is a major topic that could lead to conflict if masses feel their freedom is threatened. 

There are so many freedom that we clamour for in this world as human beings. Let briefly explore some of those freedoms.

The ability to move from one place or the other is regarded as freedom of movement.

The ability to express yourself without any fear of persecution is called freedom of expression. 

The ability to decide who to make friends with or not is regarded as freedom of association.

The ability to decide which religion you want to practice without influence of external forces is called freedom of religion.

The ability to speak freely and not being censored is regarded as freedom of speech.

The ability to belief whatever you want without being forcefully influenced is called freedom of belief.

The ability to think freely and not being guided by imperialistic views is freedom  from slavery/foreign influence.

While we make sure all these freedoms are granted to us as humans, there is much to explain. 

We can quickly ask if this freedoms are for all humans. By humans, i mean both able and disable. It seems these freedoms only focus on able bodies alone?

 We can ask, how many physically challenged are in our formal establishments? How many of them are presidents, senators, governors? 

How many of the physically challenged have freedom to associate with able men without being segregated?

How many of the physically challenged are pressmen today? How many of them are lecturers, teachers?

It is even funny that we have 'special' places we put them (at least in Nigeria). We somehow separate them from the world because of their physical conditions.  

Hardly will you see a physically challenged person on a high table in an occasion.

We forget that we are all humans. Being physically challenged has nothing to do with mental alertness.  

In fact, many of them are more brainy than the able bodied men. Some of them are more knowledgeable and are of sound minds than many able bodied men out there.

We call for freedom of all men but this somehow exclude the physically challenged. Have you seen any physically challenged vie for a political post? If any has come out before, was he/she supported? 

How many of us can stand behind a physically challenged to support him/her for any political office?

I doubt we have such big heart. We would rather laugh or look for ways to bring them down.

Our clamour for freedom somehow exclude the physically challenged if not, we would have had many of them in political offices.

In some places, the law makers enacted special law for the physically challenged. Suggesting they are human but different, which is wrong in my opinion.

It is high time we look beyond the physique and focus on what is within. The brain of all man should be accessed, evaluated and judged accordingly, irrespective of the physical state. 

Every man, whether able or not have right to every human rights because we are all human beings in the real sense of the world.
