The idea of God has created many disagreements among man. It is a qu estion of whether He truly exist or not. 

If He does, what is He like, can we know Him or see Him. If He is not, what is responsible for creation? 

For many and all theists, God exist, He is real and present always. For the atheists, it is the other way round.

It should be noted as a fact that the idea of God is not univocal. By that, i mean humans do not have a unanimous agreement of who God is and what He can or cannot do.

Let me give you some examples to buttress my point.

In Christianity, God is omnipotent, Omniscience and omnibenevolence.  He is the creator of heaven and earth. There is an idea of Trinity in Christendom and as evident in Genesis 1:26, it is believed that God was was talking to God the Son and Holy Spirit.

The Trinity is seen as one and indivisible entity.

In Islam, Allah is eternal. He is the creator of everything that exist, heaven and hell. But Trinity is not evident in Islam. Islam believe that God is one, He has no child and no one gives birth to Him.

In Hinduism, they have Brahman. Brahman is the Ultimate Reality in the universe. Brahman is infinite, eternal truth and bliss. He does not change but He is the cause of all changes in the universe.

The above explains the fact that we all have concepts of God but this concepts are not the same.

So a big question in the mouth of scholars is can a creator of universe and man create a stone so big that he cannot carry? By stone, i do not mean a non existing matter but satan who is a creature of God.

The idea of satan has created huge concern and wide hole to the question of omnipotent nature of the supreme being.

Many have argued that if God is all powerful, how come he cannot kill the devil? They wonder if satan is that big of a creature that God allow him to commit many atrocities to God's other creations and nothing happens to him?

Every evil and negative thing in the universe are attributed to satan. Hebis known as the author of mischief. The one one who came to kill, steal and destroy.

Satan has  control over almost everything except things God has shielded from his sight or power. Every other thing, he has control over it.

Revelation 20:1 explains that satan would be thrown into the bottomless pit after the battle of Armageddon which the satan will lose.

But the question these scholars (atheists) are asking is why does it have to be that long? Why must it be after so much pains and death that satan would be chained finally?

Could it be that satan would be powerless that time considering he would have loss a battle.

 Why, we may ask, is it that satan could roam free now and commit many atrocities  without any punishment? 

Is it that he's truly a big stone that could not be carried? If not, what explanation can be given to why he still has power to perpetuate evil?

This is purely philosophy. You are welcome to answer with any backings from the Holy Books.
