I was feeling tired at the beginning of the week and I thought it was because of the long travelling I did last week, but that was not the case at all. In the following days, I caught the first flu of the year with high fever and malaise. Fortunately, I am a little better today. Every night I was sleeping with the thought that "if I feel very sick like this in the morning, I will not go to school tomorrow". But since I had rested until the morning, I felt a little better in the morning and went to school. Fortunately, I was able to go to my school on this day, which is teacher's day, and I was able to meet the warm teacher's day celebrations of my students. I would probably be very sad if I could not go to my school today. Because it is a very valuable and important day for me, which only happens once a year.

Çünkü yılda sadece bir defa olan ve benim açımdan da çok değerli ve önemli bir gün.*

Today, in all the classes I taught at school, I saw my students celebrating my teacher's day and this made me very happy. Even seeing the happiness in my students' eyes was enough to forget my illness today. I think this has a great effect on the fact that I feel better than the previous days. My pure-hearted children... I am glad to have them.

I received many gifts from my students that were small for them but very meaningful for me. The fact that my children valued and celebrated my day was enough to make me happy. I wanted to share some of the gifts that my students presented to me here. I wanted to show them how they can think so delicately with a child's heart.

Table olives (: . I received such a gift for the first time. In fact, my duty station is a place where olives are grown abundantly, but I had never received such a gift until today. It was something that could be expected, but it surprised me.

As it is winter, some of my students brought socks so that my feet would not get cold. I liked that they thought of this. 😊

This cup set is one of the first gifts I have come across. I think my students received these gifts through communication. I felt like they designed me to read a book while sipping my drink in a cup or mug with socks on my feet in winter. 😊
