Yes I agree thjis is sad that steemit inc hasnt changed much ina while BUT I believe its because theyre about to upgrade eveyrthing and we will see a lot of new stuff!

I want to teach minnows to look at the list of users who upvoted them, the top ons have the highet steempower, and teach minnows to always go leave thank you comments to whales and dolphisn who uvote them! 

Also I believe you ave upvoted my African steemit friends @tj4real and @mcsamm and for that I am so grateful, I believe I have seen your upvotes on their posts before and it really helps so much, they are now bringing in so many new users in thir hometowns, especially @tj4real hes bringing in like a nw person everyday or sometims more! hes doing work! and hes gunning to bcome the steemit whale for his country and a steemit whale for every nation wil become SOOO sooo perfect! peopel will have their own local whale to get advice and upvotes from!

Oh man steemit is at the TIPPING point! its about to TIP , when a business does godo work long enough peopel notice and they begin to TIP

steemit is about to hit the tipping point and whales like you will go from $100,000 to $1 million dollars when steem goes from $1 to $10 :D

Quite funny isn't it? Push the 'money talks' more, when _it is not actually happening_. The lure.  Why not promote the community and make the user interface better for bloggers _who don't write for money_ instead, so the new ones won't be disappointed when they see the reality about the money lol.

Wow. That is indeed silly.

The only explanation that makes sense to me is that steemit is not focusing on new user acquisitions right now until they are ready to open the floodgates with a new fork where they don't have to pay for new users anymore. So they simply do not give this much thought but will, hopefully, change it once they are ready to grow the number of users.

I don't mind the add "Your voice is worth something" it's very catchy!
I first came to Steemit to make money but found out quickly its not that easy.
I think lots of others will join because of "Join the community that pays you to post and curate high quality content" slogan.
I do agree with you and others a over haul will help alot in growing the Steemit Community.

Maybe they want to use a different perspective. I still think is better the *"Welcome to the blockchain"* at least they keep it real. I'm new in Steemit and this platform is not for lazy people at all.

I saw that too... hmmm... maybe the should focus on the community benefits and networks you can create from Steemit, and mention rewards as a secondary thing.... it is not the only reason Steemit exists. To people who are foreign to Steemit, it may look like a total scam.

There is some really good tech and some great tech minds involved in the project but their marketing, PR market research, etc is severely lacking. 

The site needs to be focused being the best social media platform available with the added bonus of some reward for it rather than acting like its this huge money making opportunity for everyone. 
Of course if they are going to do that then they also need a lot more upgraded UI work as the site is just way to difficult to use for the average social media user. So they can't really attract or expand......

Hopefully real improvements are in the works and we will see them soon!

Seems fine to me... I'll take simplicity over complexity in the sense that we choose our battles. I look for complexity in a platform, not as much in an Ad, or a call to Join. This seems to be just fine to me.

I am so frustrated by the UX/UI and marketing language fails on this application that I could literally scream at times. I don't get it either. It's some of the most misguided amateur work I've seen in 30 years of technology work, and such a terrible shame.

Also thanks for the gracious vote on my witness update post. I was not familiar with you till now, but I see by this most recent post of yours that we have some of the same irritants in common. :|
