 Last week the hubs and I went visiting some friends of ours. These friends live in another state but since its only an hour long drive we decided to go. Our friends suggested that we go out for a walk after tea and visit a store which the lady thought would interest me, and boy was I interested? I was so inspired.  The walk itself wasn't inspiring as we didn't see anything of interest to us on the way, Instead we had to stop and talk to a lot of my hubs former colleagues whom we met on the way. Nonetheless, the store we visited was amazing. I wish I had the funds to buy all the things I liked there.  Huge stone jars and stone fountains were placed all over the huge premises, beautifully carved. I guess these were used for storing water earlier but now used to plant huge flowering bushes. I can imagine a huge oleander in bloom it would be like a flower shower when you walk past it. I don't know why but it was the oleander which came to mind immediately.  There were huge stone planters, in this one there was a small unhealthy looking frangipani/plumeria bush. I imagined planting a pomegranate bush loaded with flowers and fruits or just a beautiful palm. I wished I could buy one for my small pomegranate plant. It would have more space to grow and branch out.  What I loved most were these cute froggies meditating in typical yogic style. Some looked like extra terrestrials to me, perhaps it was their eyes which made them seem that way. These were about a couple of feet tall and just wouldn't fit in my garden, I wished there were smaller ones but I didn't find any.  Buddhas of every shape color and size filled the place. It looks like the people who run the place have an affinity towards Buddhism. However, Buddha statues fit well into gardens and are popular here. These statues are often placed under huge banyan trees.  There were a variety of huge fountains being sold here. These carved out of granite mostly were huge pieces and would make any garden sound and look pretty. The sound of water flowing down a fountain in a garden seems like the epitome of peace.  Leaf and flower sculptures in metal could be found placed in different locations. I was so inspired by these that I have decided to make one for myself sometime soon when I can summon up the energy to work on a project like that.  There were birds made out of wood which were cute. However, these were priced really high that I decided not to buy them even though I hung around them for a while considering a purchase.  Finally I found these shell turtles which were cute and small. I bought a couple of them for my friends. I knew that they would like to place them in their small backyard garden.  By this time we had walked quite a distance and it was getting late. The store is situated on a huge parcel of land I guess we had walked around 3km. to and fro. My legs had started to hurt by then.This long walk did help me stretch my legs for a bit and relax before the long drive back home. We had to drive back home quickly and if we didn't start early we could be stuck in the city traffic for hours. So we had to bid goodbye to our friends and head back home.  I enjoy posting on this Wednesday walk community created by @tattoodjay. It is always fun to post here as well as read and interact with other posters in this community. I love little walks like these where you find the most impressive things that you least expected. Having a water element of any kind enhances the look and feel of any surroundings. I like what I see, and I would have been tempted to collect at least one item:)
