Near the end of day 1, after the presentations are over but a few hours before Hivefest would close for the night. I join in on walking through the maze and cave system in AltspaceVR with a few other Hive users.

@qwoyn @eddiespino @sgt-dan @cadawg @galenkp and myself start walking through the maze which has a forest theme to it. With moss growing on the walls and little plants sticking out of the brickwork.

We all stick together so we do not get separated and lost, though later on in the maze we did lose track of @sgt-dan

Walking down the different corridors we find ourselves checking the path using the ladders. It seems like a pretty big maze.

I ran ahead a few times but tried not to stray too far from the group. I could still hear all of them and tried to stay close by the sound of their voices.

Going up on one of the ladders I could see a little ways but not all that useful for any long term path finding.

As the pyramid grew in size I knew we were getting closer to the end of the maze. Or at least that was my hope.. haha After a few more turns and rewalking our steps we found our way out of the maze. There was a stone tablet I missed at the bottom of the pyramid.

I quickly started running up the path and amazed how big this structure was. We got to the top and took many selfies and checking out the frog structure on top of this pyramid.

Seeing the maze from above on top of the pyramid was quite impressive, I am surprised we did not get more lost than we already did. Getting through that maze in about fifteen minutes is quite fast I would think.

Another hive user @forykw was spotted up at the top as well, though they must have made their way through the maze themselves.

Taking a few selfies before going to the next area to check out. I try to include the others I went through the maze with in the picture.

We traveled back to the main area of Hivefest to regroup and then decide on which game room to join next. I talked with @sgt-dan and he said he came back to this area when he got separated from the group in the maze. We also saw @riverflows but seems we could not interact with her, probably could not see us or something glitchy like alot of us encountered during this event.

Traveling to the caves next, I had to wait for the others to connect. And then I quit out of Altspacevr and went back in. Found my friends list and used "go to" to get to them in the right room. I cannot seem to use the portals in the main area of Hivefest. Only can I move room to room using the friends feature.

We all meet in the caves and I grab a torch. Its real dark in this cave and one or two people find flash lights.

Inside the cave we found mushrooms growing with these flies hovering around the fungi.

Green crystals were growing from the walls of the cave as well. We make our way through the cave system and see roots coming down from the cave ceiling. I find myself a flash light and carry it instead, the torch was kind of glitchy so the flash light worked better.

As we find out way to the end of the cave there is a large structure, a statue like figure stands inside the cave. We take a picture all next to the statue and I try out of a could selfies. Climbing up on the statue a few more pictures are taken.

Exploring these two areas, the cave and the maze were fun. A great way to end day 1 of Hivefest. There were other areas we did not get a chance to explore, but these two we explored were pretty fun. Besides the mainstage, I checked out the BTC Citadel, Cards against reality game room, NFT Showroom, island (where I got my badge, no idea how I got there). And the cave and maze map too..

I have a couple more videos of Hivefest to share. One of them is mostly just me and my friend @whangster79 checking out BTC Citadel and talking. Also I have day 2 to post, which has mostly presentations and I talk with some more people that day as well. Its over 2.5 hours long so lots to see in day 2.
