#   ¿Un cortometraje muy triste?  /  A very sad short film?

Feliz noche a todos, este es mi primer review y post en  esta comunidad espero estar al margen.  La verdad solo he hecho “oficialmente” unos 10 reviews, no soy especialista ni nada cercano a ello, sin embargo me encanta el cine y todo lo que comprende el mundo audiovisual así que voy a aprovechar este espacio para hablar de proyectos que me hayan gustado mucho y tal vez uno que otro que no tanto. Lo bueno es que es una excelente oportunidad para explorar en esta área así que espero estar al margen. 😅

“Si me pasa algo, los quiero” o su título original en inglés “ If anything happens, i love you” Es un corto animado en 2D el cual si googlean podrán encontrar títulos como “el descabellado corto…” Y bueno, aunque no soy fan de las producciones “tristes” le di una oportunidad porque en algún momento leí una breve referencia en twitter y se había quedado en mi mente, además, de que me encantan los cortos animados.

And well, although I'm not a fan of "sad" productions I gave it a chance because at some point I read a brief reference on twitter and it had stayed in my mind, besides, I love animated shorts.

Estrenada y distribuida por Netflix en noviembre del 2020, este emotivo cortometraje nos muestra cómo un matrimonio trata de lidiar con la pérdida de una hija. Una de las cosas que más llamó mi atención de esta producción, fue que lograron transmitir de una forma muy real lo que significa perder un familiar. Cómo puede destruir una familia y toda su realidad de una manera bastante contundente. Me sentí bastante atraída desde el principio. 

> Released and distributed by Netflix in November 2020, this emotional short film shows us how a married couple tries to deal with the loss of a daughter. One of the things that caught my attention the most about this production, was that they managed to convey in a very real way what it means to lose a family member. How it can destroy a family and all its reality in a very forceful way. I was quite attracted from the beginning.

Es muy fácil conectar con los personajes y lo que sienten aun siendo dibujos, ya que supieron transmitir muy bien todas esos sentimientos, quizá (a mi parecer) por toda la carga emocional del mismo. 

Definitivamente con este corto quisieron reflejar muy bien lo que es la violencia y todo lo que conlleva, como puede afectar a una familia la pérdida de un ser amado. Todo esto se ve reflejado en el soundtrack, en los colores, en la animación… incluso en la narrativa, todo funciona perfectamente para hacerse conectar con ese sentimiento de pérdida.

> It is very easy to connect with the characters and what they feel even as drawings, as they knew how to convey all those feelings very well, perhaps (in my opinion) because of all the emotional charge of it. 
Definitely with this short film they wanted to reflect very well what violence is and all that it entails, how the loss of a loved one can affect a family. All this is reflected in the soundtrack, in the colors, in the animation... even in the narrative, everything works perfectly to make you connect with that feeling of loss.

A lo largo del cortometraje  se puede  percibir lo que está sucediendo. Así no existan diálogos, pues a través de varios elementos  de la narrativa uno  puede darse una buena idea de lo que ocurre con los personajes, aunque a decir verdad lo manejaron de una forma  bastante sutil.  Cuando la vi me pregunté si sería ideal mostrárselo a mis, sobrinos y primos y si, la verdad es que es una excelente opción si quieres crear conciencia acerca de la violencia, las pérdidas familiares.

> Throughout the short film you can perceive what is happening. Even if there are no dialogues, through various elements of the narrative one can get a good idea of what is happening with the characters, although to tell the truth they handled it in a very subtle way.  When I saw it I wondered if it would be ideal to show it to my nieces, nephews and cousins and yes, the truth is that it is an excellent choice if you want to raise awareness about violence, family losses.

Puedo concluir diciendo que aunque se trata de un corto con un tema bastante fuerte y que por supuesto no existe consuelo para una pérdida tan dolorosa, supieron plantear también la esperanza de que no todo está perdido y de que se puede seguir adelante.

Un dato curioso es que este corto fue basado en un hecho de la vida real, específicamente en aquel terrible evento que conmocionó al mundo en el año 2018. Cuando Nikola Cruz, un ex estudiante del Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School en Florida, entró a dicho colegio y mientras amenazaba de muerte a sus compañeros, estos acorralados, enviaron mensajes a sus familiares.

> I can conclude by saying that although this is a short film with a rather strong theme and that of course there is no consolation for such a painful loss, they also knew how to raise the hope that all is not lost and that it is possible to move forward.
A curious fact is that this short film was based on a real life event, specifically that terrible event that shocked the world in 2018. **Wow** este corto lo vi ya hace un tiempo y es una locura ponerse en los zapatos de una pareja que ha perdido a su pequeña hija de 10 años y lo último que supieron de ella fue ese desgarrador mensaje.

Lo que me sorprendió del corto animado es la forma en cómo representaron el alma perdida de la pareja y esos recuerdos que hacían de la lucha un mar6de emociones que no se podía sostener ante tal situación y es que no me puedo imaginar que es perder un hijo ante una situación que se escapa de sus manos y que lamentablemente viven miles de personas en un país donde el porte de armas puede salir de una caja de cereal.

Muy conmovedora y triste ver como la pareja tuvo que separarse y luchar con todo lo que eso significa. Dios que desgarrador momento y una forma sutil y hermosa de representar ese triste momento.

Dices que no tienes experiencia haciendo reseñas, pero me parece que la tuya es muy buena. Dejas entrever lo interesante del corto, utilizando datos de presentación en cuanto a trama y datos externos. Creo que todos hemos sentido el temor de ver algo así, con un tema demasiado fuerte. ¡Saludos! @solsticia

Este cortometraje me tocó el alma, lo vi curioseando las nominaciones al Oscar sin tener ni la menor idea de lo que se trataba, por lo que la revelación de lo que originaba la situación del matrimonio fue un golpe fuerte para mí. ¡Buena reseña!

No lo he visto, pero me agrada algunos aspectos que nombras de este cortometraje, el tema es bastante duro pero causa intriga. Me parece genial que no tengan diálogos pero que se entienda a la perfección lo que ocurre esto dude mucho de la estructura del cortometraje.

Por lo que colocas en el principio del post, tranquila que aquí no somos expertos solo nos gusta ver películas y expresarnos.
