Beer Saturday, – isotonic sports drink – Edelweiss Weizenbier

This could be a controversial post, I am posting about BEER, alcohol free beer. I go bouldering a lot. Bouldering can also be done in climbing gyms and thanks to my wife and family I again have a year long pass for a Franchise that has 4 gyms in Vienna. I can go whenever I want and I am planning to work my body for it to become climbing material again lol. All these Beers I gotta drink writing for BEER SATurdays, you know I have a Stanislavski approach when it comes to write about BEER!

## After the gym there comes the wheat beer

The Edelweiss comes in a nicely designed 6 pack with 0,5l bottles.
It is brewed by the Brau Union Österreich AG which is a public company. Was. It has been bought by Heineken. So here we go this one is a Dutch beer from Austria. Interesting the merge is not that far back and I did not hear about it at all.

### Edelweiss
This is a super refreshing drink in form of wheat beer without the alc. Of course there is no such thing as 100% alcohol free wheat beer so the actual number stated is: Alk.< 0,5%
The kick of this drink is the calories. 100ml (a fifth of the bottle) containing 32 kcal or 135 kJ
This is basically an energy bar in liquid form. Most of the times I am working out in the climbing gym I just drink one of these magic potions after the session. It also contains carbohydrates: 6,7g of that 6,7g 2,8g are sugar.
You gotta drink this one out of a glass since there is always some yeast residue on the bottom. Best if it comes from the tap but honestly I wouldn't know a bar that has alc. free wheat beer from the tap.
Pro tip fill your wheat beer glass and leave about two fingers of liquid in the bottle. (I don't own one at home lol just realized that, but usually I drink [Tegernseer](https://peakd.com/hive-187719/@solymi/i-filled-my-hive-shopping-bag-with-tegernseer-hell-for-beer-saturday) from the bottle lol) gently hold the bottle at its neck and start circling motions with your wrist. you want the rest of the liquid to absorb the residues. Gently! You don't want only foam coming out of there! Pour the rest of the wheat beer into your wheat beer glass! If you done it right it will look awesome! And it also will taste like awesomeness.
