I was able to replicate this issue and I can that the developer has placed a commit against the issue. Although the application shows the image within the body text of the post, the image will be corrupted upon posting of the post, you can see the result here:

1. Your title was detailed and explained the issue. 
2. Great to see the issue reported, acknowledged and fixed on GitHub. 
3. Steps were clear and easy to understand. 

Remember, they have created a new version of the application which can found within releases on GitHub, you should use this for further testing :)
