Hola mis queridos amigos de Hive el día de hoy quiero hablar sobre el duelo, en otros post anterior mencioné que mi papá tuvo covid y estuvo bastante delicado de salud al igual que su mejor amigo y compañero de trabajo, pues anoche nos llegó la noticia de que falleció y no se imaginan lo mal que la estamos pasando, mi papá está mal.

Comenzaré con un breve resumen del tiempo de amistad, mi papá y Henry entraron a trabar juntos en el mismo trabajo de 20 años cada uno, se jubilaron a los 45 años y luego se dieron cuenta de que no podían vivir de la jubilación y estaban muy jóvenes así que decidieron montar una empresa de refrigeración y  lograron tener una cartera de clientes bastante amplia, así que ya con 54 años cada uno han pasado más de la mitad de su vida el uno con el otro, peleaban más que un matrimonio obligado, y no obstante decidieron comprar casas en el mismo lugar y eran vecinos, prácticamente eran hermanos, los hermanos de Henry son todos fallecidos y mi papá tiene dos hermanos hombres y están lejos así que eran el apoyo del otro.

En diciembre salieron trabajar y se enteraron de que en la casa donde estaban arreglando el aire había una persona contagiada de  covid-19,  ellos terminaron su trabajo y se retiraron, a los días empezaron a sentirse mal, lamentablemente los dos estaban bastante delicado de salud y a mi papá le atacamos a tiempo todo, pero el señor Henry se descuidó y nosotros decidimos tomar las riendas y finalmente pudimos lograr que él se estabilizara de salud, pero tenía una neumonía bastante avanzada, mi tío quién es internista e intensivista nos dijo que estaba muy mal y que si no lo atacaban a tiempo podía pasar lo peor, se quedaron tranquilos luego de terminar el tratamiento lo vieron de pie y creyeron que estaba bien, pero insistimos con el tema del neumonologo y finalmente fue el lunes y le dieron la orden para internarse en un hospital centinela en Maracaibo que son esos hospitales con la capacidad de atender esté tipo de paciente y bueno apenas duro dos días y le dieron 4 infartos, murió de un paro respiratorio.

Mi papá sufre de arritmias cardíacas y es muy duro para el todo esto, así que luego de dar muchas vueltas me fui a casa de mis padres a las 8 pm y hablamos un rato con él, lo pusimos alerta, primero le dijimos que estaba muy delicado de salud, que no daban muchas esperanzas, para  que él fuese asimilando toda la situación y bueno poco a poco fuimos hablando con él, hasta que le dimos la noticia, está destruido, pero, también tiene en cuenta cuán soberbio era su amigo y él no quería que lo llevaran a un hospital y se alteró mucho al verse allá dijo "quiero morir en mi casa".

Luego de retirarme le escribí a mi papá y le dije que lo amaba, que él tenía que ser muy fuerte por su mamá, hijas, esposa y nieta, que no le diera pena llorar y desahogarse, que no es fácil aceptar estás pérdidas un hombre joven, con tantos años por delante y una hija de 10 años de edad que es un dolor inexplicable, pero que la vida debe continuar.

> *After I retired I wrote to my dad and told him that I loved him, that he had to be very strong for his mom, daughters, wife and granddaughter, that he should not be ashamed to cry and vent, that it is not easy to accept that you are losing a young man, with so many years ahead of you and a 10 year old daughter that it is an inexplicable pain, but that life must go on.*

Que se deje ayudar por las personas, no está solo, porque se encuentra rodeado de personas maravillosas que lo valoran demasiado, que se deje consolar, que una ayuda nunca está mal, y aunque el duelo es un proceso dónde debes respirar por la herida, hasta aprender a no sentir tanto dolor, en algún momento tendrás consuelo, y si extrañarás a la persona e incluso notarás su falta de presencia, pero aprenderás en el camino que todos en algún momento partimos de este planeta y que cada quien tiene su momento y su lugar.

> *Let him be helped by people, he is not alone, because he is surrounded by wonderful people who value him too much, let him be comforted, that help is never bad, and although grief is a process where you must breathe through the wound, until you learn not to feel so much pain, at some point you will have comfort, and if you will miss the person and even notice his lack of presence, but you will learn along the way that everyone at some point we all leave this planet and that everyone has their time and place.*
