Hola mis queridos lectores de la comunidad family-friends y quiero compartir con ustedes un poco sobre mi amor hacia mi madre y mis recuerdos bonitos de las celebraciones del Día de las Madres, para mí, el amor de una madre es uno de los lazos más fuertes y duraderos que alguien puede tener en su vida, durante mi infancia, mi madre siempre fue la figura de cuidado primario y tuvo una influencia significativa en mi desarrollo emocional y social (y aunque no todo es bueno mi madre me regalo muchos recuerdos lindos).

Siempre he sido una persona muy solitaria desde niña, por lo que las fiestas eran muy importantes para mí, a pesar de que siempre estaba estudiando o trabajando, encontraba un momento para compartir con mi familia y mi esposo cuando éramos novios, mi madre, aunque estaba ocupada por su profesión, siempre nos cuidaba y nos sobreprotegía (esto último en exceso), a ella no le gustan las fotos, ni las fiestas, pero siempre la sorprendíamos con pequeños detalles que significaban mucho para nosotros.

Recuerdo que durante mi infancia, este día era una ocasión especial en las que toda mi familia se reunía para pasar tiempo juntos, siempre disfrutaba de las actividades en el colegio y participaba en ellas con mucho entusiasmo, un recuerdo muy hermoso que aún tengo en mi mente es cuando canté una canción en el escenario del colegio: "Madrecita del alma querida", recuerdo que todas las madres presentes lloraban y en un momento determinado no pude terminar la canción, así que bajé del escenario para abrazar a mi mamá, la directora tomó el micrófono y dijo que yo era una niña muy sensible.

También recuerdo haber arrancado flores del jardín cuando era pequeña porque no tenía para llevarle un ramo de flores a mi mamá y un día la vecina se molestó porque arranqué sus flores favoritas, pero solo quería hacerle una sorpresa, jajaja, mi familia es originaria de un pueblo llamado Machiques de Perijá, estado Zulia, en su parte oeste, es frontera con el Norte de Santander, Colombia, la principal actividad económica se basa en la industria láctea: leche, queso, nata, crema, mantequilla, y por supuesto, la ganadería, con todo esto, doy por entendido que estas fiestas eran completamente parrilladas familiares y con familias numerosas, en estas celebraciones, todos los miembros de la familia tienen por costumbre compartir los gastos de alimentos, bebidas, pasteles y regalos.

I also remember plucking flowers from the garden when I was little because I did not have to bring a bouquet of flowers to my mom and one day the neighbor was upset because I plucked her favorite flowers, but I just wanted to surprise her, hahaha, my family is originally from a town called Machiques de Perijá, Zulia state, in its western part, it is border with Norte de Santander, Colombia, the main economic activity is based on the dairy industry: milk, cheese, cream, cream, butter, and of course, livestock, with all this, I understand that these parties were completely family barbecues and with large families, in these celebrations, all family members are accustomed to share the cost of food, drinks, cakes and gifts.

Se preparan para hacer grandes parrilladas, llevar mariachis, contar historias y risas y cocinan los hombres, pues las fiestas de familia siempre han sido una oportunidad para fortalecer las relaciones familiares, especialmente entre aquellos que no se ven con frecuencia debido a la distancia o a otros compromisos, los primos estudiando cada uno en su mundo, pero en las fiestas nos abrazamos, nos reímos, recordamos tantas cosas, siempre del pasado, pero en este presente me siento tan alejada, a decir verdad, mi familia paterna ya no es la misma, estamos divididos: la mayoría está en EE. UU. y aquí solo quedan mi abuela, quien es viuda desde hace más de 20 años, mis padres y mis hermanas, todos mis tíos están fuera del país con sus familias.

Por eso para mi este es un día para honrar y agradecer a la persona que ha estado allí para nosotros en los momentos buenos y malos, en los éxitos y fracasos, y para mostrar cuánto valoramos su amor y cuidado incondicional, aunque mi familia paterna ahora está dispersa y las reuniones se han vuelto más difíciles de organizar, todavía trato de mantener viva la tradición de celebrar a mi madre en el Día de las Madres, ya sea que estemos juntos en un almuerzo en casa de la abuela o en casa de mi mamá, siempre trato de hacerle saber cuánto las quiero y las aprecio por todo lo que han hecho por mí.

Para mí, el Día de las Madres siempre ha sido una oportunidad para reunirme con mi familia, disfrutar de momentos agradables y honrar a mi madre, aunque las circunstancias han cambiado, sigo valorando la importancia de esta festividad y la presencia de mi madre en mi vida y por supuesto ahora que soy mama novata empiezo a entender cada dolor de mi madre.
