오늘은 저의 옛날 작업을 보여드릴 겁니다.

Today I will show you my old work. (The English version follows the bottom of every paragraph.)

처음 아이패드를 장만하고 의욕이 충만하여 새로운 세계를 탐구하던 시기에 그린 그림들 입니다.
인터넷 세상에 가득한 금손들의 그림들을 보고 도전의지가 막 꺾여있던 시기이기도 합니다.

페트리온이나 픽시브, 데비앙아트 같은 인터넷 그림 커뮤니티는 괴수들의 세계입니다. 
리얼리즘으로 잘 그리는 분들은 이미 너무 많고 만화체로 그리는 분들도 막 굴러다닙니다.

좋은 그림 그려보겠다고 야심차게 뛰어들었지만 금손들의 그림을 보면 현자타임만 길어집니다.
그러던 시기에 저에게 힘을 준 분들이 계시니 바로 “트와이스”되시겠습니다.

뭘 그려도 별로처럼 보이던 시절 꺼져가던 창작의지에 불씨를 붙여준 고마운 분들입니다.
뜯어볼 수록 매력있고 그려보고 싶어집니다.

요즘 그리는 스타일의 기초적인 아이디어가 모두 이 시기에 나왔다고 해도 과언이 아닙니다.

They were a Korean idol band called [TWICE].
That's right. This is the story I became an idol band geek.

>They are grateful. In those days I did not like the result of drawing any motif. I thought it was nothing.
>However, after seeing their mv, the fire was resurrected in the creative will.
 It was very interesting that the process of reconstructing the human figure in three dimensions according to the theme of mv was based on different themes.

>I was fascinated by the process of creating themes and building them both commercially and creatively.
>It does not matter if the output is good or bad.
>New goals and ways have come up.
>
>I was able to learn a lot while I was painting them.
>It is no exaggeration to say that all of the basic ideas of style I have been working on lately have come out at this time.

먼저 첫번째 그림을 보여드리겠습니다.
다양한 가능성을 시험해본 그림입니다.
고전적인 코믹스, 삽화, 세미체, 라인주고 채색은 두텁게 하기 등등을 시험해봤습니다.

지금 보니 삼성 광고처럼 보이네요. 
옛날 그림을 계속 보니 또 현자타임이 올려고 하는군요. 
다음 그림으로 넘어가 보겠습니다.

두번째 그림은 페이크 북커버입니다.
디자인은 코믹스와 디즈니와 아니메가 마구 혼재된 괴작입니다. 
뭘 어떻게 그려야 잘 그린건지 도무지 모르겠던 시절이라 뇌속의 방황이 그대로 손으로 튀어나온 모양입니다. 
채색은 손에 익은 고전적인 방식에서 색만 좀 더 가볍게 써서 요즘 그림처럼 보이기를 원했습니다.

>The second one is a fake book cover.
Design is a mixture of comics, Disney and Anime.
It is a work created in the days when I did not know how to draw what to draw.
I guess my wandering in the brain is expressed through my hands.
 Coloring is a classic way to get used to it.

한번 다 부셔진 후에 재조립된 초기 버전의 그림체입니다.
위의 작업에서 살아남은 요소들이 보입니다.
선작업을 깨끗하게 하고 요소요소들에 과장된 효과를 넣었습니다.

>It is the first version of the work style that I rebuilt after all the way I worked on it.
I see elements that survived on the Reconstruction work.
I cleaned the line work and put in a partially exaggerated effect.

마지막 그림은 재조립작업에서 살아남은 버전의 또 다른 변주입니다.
선을 살리되 채색방법은 고전적인 회화에서 빌려온 기법을 사용했습니다.

The method of drawing lines clearly and using techniques borrowed from classical paintings.

재밌게 보셨나요.
사실 아직도 그림을 그리고 나면 다 때려치고 싶어집니다.
눈은 높고 손은 바보라서 좋은 그림이 잘 안나오거든요.

그래도 포기하지 못하고 찌질하게 그림판에 붙어있는 이유는 세상에는 아직 못 그려본 예쁜 모티브들이 너무 많은 까닭입니다.
