Today I want to put into words the memories of my first cat and what he meant in my life, I always remember him and sometimes I think I see him in the streets because he was a Creole cat with a common fur, but a being with a lot of personality, most likely it will be a long publication because here I will leave all my love for him even though he is no longer here. 

<b>What was Misifu like</b> 

He was a yellow striped cat, he looked like a little tiger, he grew up and looked strong and athletic, with a sweet character, hunter and friendly, attached to the house and some members of the family.

Hoy quiero dejar plasmado en palabras los recuerdos de mi primer gato y lo que significó en mi vida, siempre lo recuerdo y a veces me parece que lo veo en las calles porque él era un gato criollo de pelaje común, pero un ser con mucha personalidad, lo más seguro es que sea una publicación larga porque aquí dejaré todo mi amor por él aunque ya no esté. 

<b>Como era Misifu </b>

Era un gato de color amarillo rayado, parecía un tigrito, creció y se veía fuerte y atlético, de carácter dulce, cazador y amigable, apegado a la casa y algunos miembros de la familia.

<b>How did he come into my life?</b>

It was the beginning of the night, it was around 6 or 7 p.m. I was walking home when I passed by a square and I heard a little meow, I turned around and there he was little and defenseless, I saw him and continued my way, at home they would not let me have a cat because my family liked dogs, but the kitten followed me and twice I scared him away wanting him to understand that I could not take him with me. Until that moment I didn't like cats, they didn't attract my attention. 

The kitten continued and ignored my warning, he kept on following my feet while I accelerated my pace to get away from him, but he ran and wouldn't leave me like that, he stayed there for three blocks until we arrived home, he came in tired and lulled himself on some books in the living room, he fell asleep immediately, my grandmother and mom noticed the cat and asked me if I had adopted him. 

I told them no, he stuck to me and the next day he was sure to leave, we let them sleep and we woke up to a surprise, the cat had killed a few rats, even bigger than him, surprised at his hunting and that he didn't eat them he earned the right to live with my family 😜, my grandma fell in love with him and immediately gave him food and conditioned a little box for him to sleep in. 

This was the first time we had a cat at home, I named him Misifu, my beloved Misifu.

<b>¿Cómo llegó a mi vida?</b>

Estaba comenzando la noche, eran alrededor de las 6 o 7 p.m iba caminando para la casa cuando pase por una plaza y escuche un pequeño maullido, voltee y allí estaba chiquito e indefenso, lo vi y continué mi camino, en casa no me dejarían tener un gato porque a mi familia les gustaban los perros, pero el gatito me siguió y en dos ocasiones lo espante queriendo que entendiera que no lo podía llevar conmigo. Hasta ese momento no me gustaban los gatos, no me llamaban la atención. 

El gatito continuó e ignoró mi advertencia, siguió pegado a mis pies mientras aceleraba el paso para alejarme de él, pero corría y no me dejaba así, se mantuvo por tres cuadras hasta que llegamos a casa, entro cansado y se arrulló sobre unos libros de la sala, se quedó dormido inmediatamente, mi abuela y mamá se dieron cuenta del gato y me preguntaron si lo había adoptado. 

Yo les dije que no, que se me pegó y que al día siguiente seguro se iba, los dejamos dormir y amanecimos con una sorpresa, el gato había matado unas cuantas ratas, incluso de un tamaño superior a él, sorprendidos de su cacería y que no se los comió se ganó el derecho de vivir con mi familia 😜, mi abuela se enamoró de él e inmediatamente le dio comida y le acondicionó una cajita para que durmiera. 

Esta fue la primera vez que tuvimos un gato en casa, yo lo bautice Misifu, mi Misifu querido.

<b>What made him special?</b>

When I remember him I still sigh, I miss him and I would like to go back in time to pet him and kiss him some more, he was special because of his hunting and homey behavior. 

At that time my parents, siblings and I moved to another house, we would no longer live with my grandmother, so I had to make the decision if I would take Misifu with me or leave him. My grandmother was already sad about our move, so I thought I would leave Misifu with her so they could keep each other and he wouldn't have to get used to another home, I was afraid he would run away from the new house, so I left him living with my grandmother. 

She was happy that I left him and my heart was wrinkled, but I thought it was the best thing for everyone. 

From his time with me I was left with two anecdotes that I will tell you. 

Every time he saw me he would purr and since I was a teenager and knew nothing about cats, I would scold him and tell him why he was doing me like that, thinking he wanted to bite me, because I mistook that sound for the sound dogs make when they are angry. 🤣

Over the years I understood that it was a behavior to express love 🤗.

The other memory is that every time I came to visit my grandmother after I moved, I would arrive looking for Misifu all over the house and if I didn't find him I would start calling him until I saw him arrive, one day I sat on the stairs by the front door and started calling him, I thought at that moment that he could scratch me with his nails because of how fast he was coming, but it was the opposite, he jumped on me and made me love him while he purred. It was a moment of love that I will never forget.

<b>¿Qué lo hizo especial?</b>

Cuando lo recuerdo todavía suspiro, lo extraño y quisiera retroceder el tiempo para volver acariciarlo y besarlo un poco más, fue especial por su comportamiento cazador y hogareño. 

En esa época mis padres, hermanos y yo nos mudamos a otra casa, ya no viviríamos con mi abuela, así que tenía que tomar la decisión si me llevaría a Misifu o lo dejaría. Mi abuela ya estaba triste por nuestra mudanza, así que pensé dejarle a Misifu para qué se acompañarán y así él no tendría que acostumbrarse a otro hogar, me daba miedo que se escapara de la casa nueva, así que lo deje viviendo con mi abuela. 

Ella estaba feliz de que lo dejara y yo tenía el corazón arrugado, pero creía que era lo mejor para todos. 

De su tiempo conmigo me quedaron dos anécdotas que te contaré. 

Cada vez que él me veía ronroneaba y como yo era una adolescente y no sabía nada de gatos, lo regañaba y le decía por qué me hacía así, creyendo que quería morderme, porque yo confundía ese sonido con el que hacen los perros cuando están enojados. 🤣

Con los años entendí que era un comportamiento para expresar el amor 🤗

El otro recuerdo es que cada vez que yo llegaba a visitar a mi abuela después que me mude, llegaba buscando a Misifu por toda la casa y si no lo encontraba empezaba a llamarlo hasta verlo llegar, un día me senté en las escaleras de la puerta principal y comencé a llamarlo, en breve momento vi que algo se asomó por las rejas de una casa como a media cuadra, "era Misifu" salió corriendo a toda velocidad para brincar a mis brazos, pensaba en ese instante que me podía arañar con sus uñas por lo rápido que venía, fue todo lo contrario, se lanzó sobre mí y me hizo cariño mientras ronroneaba. Fue un momento de amor que nunca olvidaré.

<b>How was his departure?</b>

One day my grandmother called me on the phone to tell me the bad news, Misifu was the victim of a street fight, in the middle of the night he was attacked by several dogs and could not escape. Those were days in which both my grandmother and I mourned his departure, this happened many years ago.

I remember my grandmother saying that she would never find another cat like Misifu, she never had another cat. 

<b>What did she teach me?</b>

- That it is important to immortalize our animal family with pictures, today I wish I had had pictures of him. 

- That cats recognize people and can love humans strongly. 

- That not all cats eat mice. 

- That love is earned by compensating one thing with another, boarding for work. 😅

- That love never dies and even though he's gone I still love him.

<b>¿Cómo fue su partida?</b>

Un día mi abuela me llama por teléfono para darme la mala noticia, Misifu fue víctima de una pelea callejera, en medio de la noche lo atacaron varios perros y no pudo escapar. Fueron días en los que tanto mi abuela como yo lloramos su partida, esto ocurrió hace muchos años.

Recuerdo que mi abuela decía que no volvería a encontrar otro gato como Misifu, nunca más tuvo otro gato. 

<b>¿Qué me enseño?</b>

- Que es importante inmortalizar a nuestra familia animal con fotos, hoy quisiera haber tenido fotos de él. 

- Que los gatos, reconocen a las personas y pueden amar a los humanos con fuerza. 

- Que no todos los gatos comen ratón. 

- Que el amor se gana compensando una cosa con otra, hospedaje por trabajo. 😅

- Que el amor nunca muere y aunque él ya no esté lo sigo queriendo.
