A few days ago I had the opportunity to attend an Astar Network event at the Parque Aragua shopping mall in Maracay city in Venezuela, I was invited by
@yolimarag who shared a link to register for this activity.

I was very excited because I was going to learn about another web3 platform and I thought about attending with normal clothes that had nothing to do with hive, but the same day of the activity Yolimar informed me to attend dressed with some hive merch, since the invitation had been transmitted for hive people 🥰, although I live far from the capital of the state I wanted to attend and I left early preventing any inconvenience on the road.

Upon arrival I saw familiar faces there were the organizers of Caracas blockchain week who were the same organizers of this Astar Network event. Of all the hivers who registered the only person who attended was me, the others had unforeseen last minute. 

In total only 8 people attended and I was pleasantly impressed. The attendees were not young; on the contrary, there were older people in their 50's interested in learning about this fascinating world.

## Astar network

I had no knowledge of this blockchain, it was the first time I heard about it. The speakers started giving information about the types of internet web1,web2 and web3, the basic concept of what blockchain is to then define us what Astar Network is, which is a very popular platform in Japan about smart contracts and which is connected with Ethereum, Polkadot and Polygon.

The way to present Astar Network was didactic and practical first we downloaded the wallet from the Play Store and from there we started to back up our keys to connect with the blockchain, they did a small draw among the participants and there was a person who won some tokens to then make a stake in their platform, I had my fingers crossed, I raised a prayer, but nothing resulted, a lady was the lucky one to take about $ 35 in this tokens.

There was a lot of useful information during the meeting and one of the things they emphasized is that in this platform you can develop different protocols and one of the uses for common people is with the NFT.

It was a very pleasant meeting where I learned new things, I had fun, I tasted delicious snacks and a good coffee and also for the participation we were given merchandise of this network which was a flannel and a hat for everyone, at the end we said goodbye taking group pictures and some selfies with the organizers where one of the people who received me kindly who is also hiver @kathajimenezr appears, well this was the summary of that day, because I already forgot half of what I was going to tell.

Hace unos días tuve la oportunidad de asistir a un evento de Astar Network en el centro comercial parque Aragua en la ciudad de Maracay en Venezuela, fui invitada por @yolimarag que compartió un link para el registro de esta actividad

Estaba muy emocionada porque iba a aprender sobre otra plataforma de web3 y pensé en asistir con ropa normal que no tuviera nada que ver con hive, pero el mismo día de la actividad me informó Yolimar que asistiera vestida con alguna merch de hive, ya que la invitación había sido transmitida para las personas de hive 🥰, aunque vivo lejos de la capital del estado quería asistir y me fui temprano previniendo cualquier inconveniente en la vía.

Al llegar vi caras conocidas estaban los organizadores del Caracas blockchain week que eran los mismos organizadores de este evento de Astar Network. De todos los hivers que se registraron la única persona que asistió fui yo, los demás tuvieron imprevistos de última hora. 

En total solo asistieron 8 personas y me llevé una grata impresión. Los asistentes no eran jóvenes; al contrario, había personas mayores entre sus 50 años interesadas en aprender sobre este fascinante mundo.

## Astar network

No tenía conocimiento de esta blockchain, era la primera vez que la escuchaba. Los ponentes comenzaron dando información sobre los tipos de internet web1,web2 y web3, el concepto básico de lo que es blockchain para luego definirnos qué es Astar Network, que es una plataforma muy popular en Japón sobre contratos inteligentes y que está conectada con Ethereum, Polkadot y Polygon.

La forma de presentarnos Astar Network fue didáctica y práctica primero descargamos la wallet desde la Play Store y desde allí empezamos a respaldar nuestras llaves para conectarnos con la blockchain, hicieron un pequeño sorteo entre los participantes y hubo una persona que se ganó unos tokens para luego realizar un stake en su plataforma, yo tenía los dedos cruzados, elevé una oración, pero nada resultó, una señora fue la afortunada de llevarse unos 35 $ en este tokens.

Hubo mucha información de provecho durante la reunión y una de las cosas en la que hicieron énfasis es que en esta plataforma se pueden desarrollar diversos protocolos y uno de los usos para las personas comunes es con los NFT.

Fue una reunión muy amena dónde aprendí cosas nuevas, me divertí degusté ricos refrigerios y un buen café además por la participación nos obsequiaron merch de esta red que fue una franela y un gorrito para todos, al finalizar nos despedimos sacando fotografías grupales y algunas selfies con los organizadores donde aparece una de las personas que me recibió amablemente que también es hiver @kathajimenezr , bueno este fue el resumen de ese día, pues ya se me olvidó la mitad de lo que iba a contar.

Hola @cetb2008 😊😉, aprender de este mundo tan extenso siempre es bueno, gracias.

Por lo que entendí creo que no funciona así, es más que todo para resguaradar información valiosa, crear contratos inteligentes, lo que si tienen es una DAO donde se somenten en votación las propuestas y despues las ganadoras les dan recursos y tienen 3 meses para desarrollar la propuesta, las personas que apoyen el proyecto con su voto y stake ganan un porcentaje. 

Esto fue lo que entendí, hay que seguir investigando. 🥰
