Wikipedia build on a blockchain. On Hive blockchian, blockchain built to store large amount of text with free transactions.

Taskmaster4450 started the [LeoGlossary](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-main-menu), for finance and cryptocurrency terms and concepts. It has around 400  terms and it is updated every day.

Why build "wikipedia" on a permissionless, decentralized database?

How will it grow?

i must say i spent max 5 minutes looking at Everpedia and i am not sure is it good for that chain to only do 1 thing, being wiki on blockchain. I have no idea how cost heavy it is to run and what is the idea of surviving.

Doing it on hive makes sense because even if it has 0 investing in it, it can still work because of all the other projects running on hive. and if people that are using the social part of hive start using it to link stuff in their posts, it could probably get some rankings on search engines.
