The month after at the billboard change, the background was the same, but at the center of the bridge occupied the scene an elegant lady in a purple leather bodice with her arm extended upward, her hand open and her gaze upward scanning the sky trying to penetrate the fog. People talked about it even more intrigued, making inferences and assumptions, some thought to a luxury fashion brand, others that was a diversion waiting for the real product to come down from the sky. After another month, an increasingly large crowd waited anxiously for the new billboard change. Same backdrop, same lady, the new item leavened just inches from the woman's hand: a carrot with a green stalk. All astonished people commented that it was not possible that such a grand publicity would concern a vegetable that cost very little and someone predicted the next appearance of a crunchy celery.

Il mese seguente al cambio del cartellone pubblicitario lo sfondo era il medesimo, ma al centro del ponte occupava la scena un'elegante signora in corpetto di pelle viola con il braccio teso verso l'alto, la mano aperta e lo sguardo verso l'alto a scrutare il cielo cercando di penetrare la nebbia. La gente ne parlò ancora più incuriosita, facendo illazioni e supposizioni, chi pensava ad un marchio della moda di lusso chi fosse un diversivo in attesa che il vero prodotto scendesse dal cielo. Dopo un altro mese una folla sempre più nutrita aspettò con ansia il nuovo cambio di cartellone. Stesso sfondo, stessa signora, il nuovo elemento lievitava a pochi centimetri dalla mano della donna: una carota con tanto di gambo verde. Tutti sbigottiti commentarono che non era possibile che una tale pubblicità in pompa magna riguardasse un ortaggio dal costo irrisorio e qualcuno predisse la prossima apparizione di un croccante sedano.
