The study attempts to resolve the [ceteris paribus issue in statistics](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RTkghV2fsoc) by comparing similar geography. As with most studies, some of these factors may be refuted later, or we may discover other reasons why they appear. Move naturally. If possible, move naturally outdoors. We probably aren't outside enough. In general, if you can move, do it. Take the stairs over the elevator, walk to places if you can, etc. 2. Have a vision. Why do you wake up in the morning? In the above video, Steve points out that this can *add seven years of life expectancy*. 3. Downshift. Things like praying, fasting, napping help turn off the stressors and re-shift focus. It's fine to be tired. 4. Stop eating when you're 80% full. From a statistical standpoint, *how did they measure this*? 5. Eat more plants - vegetables, grains, etc. 6. Drink moderate wine. 7. Be a part of a faith community. A spiritual community helps people understand the *why* of life and lengthens their life. 8. Family first. Family gives you a *why*. 9. Strong relationships with others, such as close friends. Build a close tribe. Thanks this is very good lifestyle advice! I wish the blue zone research could reach the masses. The meditterranean diet has been getting some media attention, but the effects of the blue zone lifestyles come from more than diet, it covers all aspects of living, being active, resetting and belonging to a community being key.
