[What is artificial intelligence?  A sensible view](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6EMS0gCQAJw).  In this video, we refute many of the myths surrounding AI, especially the dystopian myths - though these myths do foreshadow which country will fall behind in AI (the United States).  The countries that recognize and act on the *real* potential with AI (China), will continue to make strides.

Even if we look at game scenarios with AI, it is very limited.  Most scenarios in life do not add up to the complexity of a chess game and adaptability in a short period of time plays a much more important role than skill or even knowledge.  For this and other reasons listed in the video, at best, AI will be a powerful extension of humanity.  At worst, it will be a disappointment and many of the promises that we see with it will be refuted in time, just like the promises of AI in the 80s, 90s, and 00s have all been refuted.
