Hi, friends!

It seems that young Oliver Solberg is the only development driver from Hyundai Motorsport who didn't test their newly developed Rally2 car and he will have to debut it next month at Ypres Rally in Belgium.

OK, here we have another youngster, this time from Finland and his name is Jari Huttunen who will do this instead of Oliver Solberg. 

It is well know that Scandinavian drivers aren't that good at tarmac but Huttunen drove Rally Championship of Germany where almost all the rallies are on tarmac. Yeah, Huttunen used to be an Opel works driver where he had to use there top rocket pocket called Opel Adam R2, the car which was winning in that R2 class (today this class is called Rally4).

I am not sure that this Hyundai i20 Rally2 is already homologated but I wouldn0t say that because there would be some privateers to drive it on this month's WRC Rally Estonia. So that means that the car is still not homologated but it should be done before Ypred Rally because you can't start the WRC rally without homologation. Well, there are some cars with national homologations in South and Central America and FIA used to take that car into the classification but rarely. 

I guess that Huttunen wasn't the only one to test this car on tarmac before homologation process so it will be very interesting to see the performances at Ypres Rally.
