Yes, I know what you are thinking, there are a lot of similarities between the yellow metal and the digital coin world.

They are both not fiat, in their own world, but also both subject to their own forms of manipulation.

But all these side stories aside, crypto is really a beast of its own.

Right now, gold is around 5% off its ATH, while in crypto land I can name a coin that is up over 20x in a few weeks 

Gold doubling would be a miracle that would get all of us super excited, but there are crypto coins that are up 2.5x TODAY….

So what is gold really?

It is money… thats where some of us forget what we are a part of. We are using this form of money instead of paper money from our local respective governments.

However money isn’t an investment… sure forex traders will tell you how much money they make trading between currencies, but that is trading/sniping not investing…no one is buying a fiat currency and holding it for a 2x… they try to skim a few % off the top here and there…

Gold is the same way, sort of… it is different than all other fiats… but, its not going to 10x by next month…

Everything needs to be looked at on its own…

Hive for example is a crypto coin BUT it would do a 10x by next week because it is designed different than say a coin that has no inflation and plenty of burning as its volume is up… something like that, has been going up and to the right on a price chart, while pay yield… while hive is down, but still paying yield.

I mentioned in another post that hive rewards do not appear in the price chart… meaning someone could have bought hive, powered it up, and made a profit even though the price of hive is down…

But if you buy hive on an exchange and hold it hoping to sell it on a pump then you really need to rethink your strategy, wrong coin for the task.

So think of gold in the same light, why are you buying it? If its for an investment then you should be buying stocks or crypto instead… but, if you are exiting an investment looking to store your money aside for a while, gold would be a better option vs dollars…. But of course, if you buy gold art $2,100 and it goes to $2,020 it’s hard to feel good about your move. So really gold is good for longterm savings… sure your bank might at least pay you yield that outpaces the % gain your gold might realize, but having control of your own money is one thing gold and crypto can agree on.
