I used to write here everyday as a starving artist, thinking that my big break will magically come one day.

Then it hit me like, Steemit wasn't really made to be fair. If it was fair, then everyone would get the exact same payout everyday.

But that wouldn't make sense.

So as with life, that is unfair as fuck, if you want to get a head start to win... then stop playing fair.

That's how I eventually decided to just keep knowing people here.

But of course, I still love to write. I write to help and contribute here.

Good advice powering up, and helping others to grow by upvoting. In the beginning someone told me that I should put some steem to a bitcoin wallet. I did it once only, thank God. Then I just kept powering up my steem dollars, and looking back now steem had much better performance than bitcoin. 
Keep steeming and steem for good.

I would like to know how I can get my posts seen by more people.  I have posted a video on here that has been seen by a handful of people; when I posted it on Facebook it was viewed over 12,000 times in just 3 days.  I am willing to invest my time in this format as I think it really could be something amazing!

Great post! I’ve been less active on steemit the last few days after becoming a bit discouraged. In the meantime I have been very active on both my snapchat @howtobitcoin and my instagram @howtobitcoin where I teach people all around the world how to utilize cryptocurrency in their daily life. This typically leads me to talking about steemit and other revolutionary ways people are using crypto to generate income.

I aways enjoy reading your posts because they are very informative. I guess I should probably start being more social. I can be kind of a hermit unless I’m talking about things I enjoy but this is the perfect place to open up due to how accepting everyone is!

Nice, what so many people don't understand is all of these people who have strong voting power either devoted a ton of time or money into steemit to get to where they are today. They just want to see the same effort come out of those who are new and want to become successful with steemit as well.

Thanx stackin.. Interesting post.. You are so interested that I start following and resteemd after reading your 1st post.. So now my goal is 10000 steem power.. But i am confusing about something.. Can you please help.. I read many posts about how to buy steem piwer regarding sbd price etc.. I am bit confused.. Simply a question we should buy steem power daily with one or 2 sbd we earn daily as i only earn pennies daily, is it better? Or we wait sometime or follow some special strategey..? What to do now.. I am posting less and commenting daily on many posts..

Thanks for the information! I agree that you have to be active to get more upvotes, but on here it is harder than facebook. On facebook you can like and comment away. On here it begins to take a toll on your steem power and bandwidth. I still like to be active with them people who are active on my posts, but it seems like my votes go downhill as soon as I start venturing too far out and upvoting more. I did not know that it was like facebook in the aspect that your posts are more accessible if you are more active on the site, so this really helps me out. Thanks for the useful information. I have been powering up and not cashing out, so hopefully that will allow me to grow more on here.

It's always important to give more than you receive! As Gary V says "51/49". Steemit is more about GIVING than it is about receiving. Like you said, you powered up for <strong>6 months</strong> before you took ANY profit. 

Ever since I started doing the same, it's been paying off for me! Tieing into your other post about "The Art of Not Giving a Fuck", it's important to keep producing content and contributing to the community regardless of what's happening now!

Thank you so much for posting this. I'm a week old here and still learning how all of this works. I've had a ton of fun meeting new people with similar interests and I've learned so much on new topics due to the fact that steemit is all about content and information. It's been a good relief since Facebook can be very petty at times. Like you did when you started out, I'm just making pennies here and there and then I see these posts that get hundreds of dollars. It's very encouraging to hear that you also struggled at the beginning but are now guiding others to achieve the same things as you. Keep up the awesome work!

To me there is no joy in reaping the community off, without contributing to growth of steemians at least the minnows or newbies
