<p>My answer will always be a huge FAT "NO" or even worse the big old "FLAG" 🚩🤣</p>
<p>You see, if you want to be successful on Steemit... it's much easier to get followers and Upvotes by producing great content and building relationships with people other than begging for them.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Many people who tend to do this "Begging" are usually lazy, gaming the system, or even worse... they brings no value to the community what so ever other than just pissing people off. 🙇🏻‍♀️</p>
<p>So why even do it? 🤷🏼‍♂️  </p>
<p>I've been telling people for years, if you want people to like you; don't ever beg. This shows the lack of respect for yourself, how can people respect you if you don't even respect yourself?</p>
<p>So at the end of the day guys, don't use this method of marketing... it might work in the short run but eventually it will be very disastrous on your growth on Steemit.</p>

I'm hoping that eventually the people that are pumping  out the bulk BS posts will run out of things to post about. I've noticed one particular that is scraping the bottom of the barrel with content but is trying desperately to hook people in with it. He still gets votes doing it though so I guess a few people like it.

I kind of feel the same way about the upvoting bots. The goal is for the community to produce good content and be paid for that content.  If someone can transfer SBD to a bot account and then their posts get auto upvoted it defeats the purpose of the community producing good content for the community.  I would rather take a slow and steady growth by gaining real followers and real upvotes than to pay for upvotes.

Now I have nothing against voting trails, because in my experience the voting trail has come from a certain individual (pp are his initials) upvoting my post. That I am ok with because an actual person initiated that.  That's just my 2 cents, well 1 cent in my case.

Yeah I try to avoid drama too. I was bad for getting caught up in drama on Facebook. Like I told papa-pepper when he interviewed me, I'm the type of person to step in and take the brunt of an attack when I see the little guy getting picked on.  I quit Facebook and now I just hang out here.

I don't need these kind of followers, I might have just a few but I want people to follow me because they like my photo's not because 3000 followers looks good on your profile. There are enough accounts with a few hundred followers and they don't make a dime,  I also google check images from people I follow, Copied from Google and I unfollow you (as soon ask you ask them where they took the picture they don't reply &#128518; ), not gonna waste my money on copy/paste stuff, Go to facebook for that kinda shit but not in here

My least favorite begging attempts involved being spammed with the same comment from one of two users (in which one is pushing for the other's services) for me to spend my Steem/SD to buy a resteem.

Uh, sorry. I'd rather people see the merit in what I'm writing and resteem it because they see value in what I'm putting out there, not because I paid someone to pimp it out (and given the low values associated with their resteems, it doesn't seem one would make back what they spent on their "services") because I was that damn desperate for attention.

It's really telling about people's POVs when they try those shenanigans.

It's so true and gets really old. When they are new and I see it I try to guide them a different direction and let them know. Most seem receptive. It sucks when they've been here a while and still do it.
