we have been using Abra since last year here in the Philippines as it was a direct competitor of coins.ph It was a good app and with last year high BTC cost and coins.ph not having an Etherium wallet most people used Abra since it has ETH and good way to convert in and out of altcoins to fiat.

Being able to hold your own private keys is the most important edge it has over Coinbase in my opinion. No fees is great but holding your private keys it vital. Also, the ability to have an additional 20 cryptos on Abra compared to Coinbases 3 or 4 will be important for newcomers.
